When our thoughts, words, and deeds do not radiate your love, forgive us, and lead us in your ways. Transfigure our hearts to always reflect your glory and shine your truth. May our whole lives be a living reminder of who you are to the world. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who taught us to pray saying, Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and glory, forever. Amen. Ash Wednesday Service March 6 th, 6pm St. Philip s Episcopal Church Parish Hall As the season of Lent begins, we join our friends at St. Philip's for this service of prayer and penitence, which will be co-led by Rev. Marcia Richardson and Rev. Josh Fitterling (preaching). We will participate in the moving, ancient ceremony of the imposition of ashes, as we reflect on these humbling words of God - "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return." Is It Yours? Remember to check the table in Fellowship Hall for any items from the kitchen and other places that might belong to you. After a reasonable amount of time, unclaimed items will be thanked for their service and freed from their unappreciated existence in our church. Sunday Night Bible Study The study of 1 Corinthians led by Rev. Josh will continue in March! Bible Study will meet in Fellowship Hall at 6pm on March 3 rd, 10 th, 24 th, 31 st. Join us for one session or for them all! Faithfully Facing Death A Lenten Study Series Wednesdays from 11:30am 1pm Beginning on Wednesday, March 13 th, join us for this adult education study series co-facilitated by Rev. Josh Fitterling and Rev. Oscar Wallace. Throughout this 5-week study, with our faith as our guide, we will explore mortality, suffering, pain, death, and the celebration of life. Discussion will include practical information for advanced planning and decision making, as well as offer a place for us to wrestle with this often difficult subject. If you have any questions, please contact Rev. Josh at 882-7544 or joshfitterling@myfairpoint.net. Daylight Savings Time March 10!
