SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER Dear Parishioners of St. John s and St. Joseph; When our collaborative of St. John the Baptist and St. Joseph is initiated on June 1st we will be sharing clergy staff with both parishes. We do not yet know how many priests will be on staff. At least for the summer months while the incoming clergy get acclimated to Quincy and the people of the parishes the daily Mass schedule for both parishes will need to be shared. It is Fr. Matt s wish to continue daily Mass for all six days (Mon. thru Sat.). The new daily Mass schedule thru Labor Day, September 3rd will be: Monday 9AM at St. Joseph church Tuesday 9AM at St. Joseph church Wednesday 8AM at St. John the Baptist church Thursday 9AM at St. Joseph church Friday 8AM at St. John the Baptist church Saturday 8AM at St. John the Baptist church BABY SHOWER St Joseph's Sodality will be hosting their annual Baby Shower For Life to help support Friends of the Unborn beginning May 1st and continuing through the entire month of May. Families or individuals volunteer to take home a crucifix for one week and daily recite the prayer for vocations. This is a simple prayer to inspire men to serve God and His church and follow in His footsteps. There is a sign up sheet in the entrance of the church; Please choose the week you participate. When it is your designated week, pick up the crucifix in the sacristy on Saturday/ Sunday and sign it out. Please return and sign in by the 4 pm the following Saturday so it is available for the next family. MAY 6, 2018 The 26th Annual Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, May 21st, at The Weston Golf Club. This premier charity event is held to benefit the educational program for the seminarians. Tuition covers only half the cost of educating a seminarian and the proceeds from this tournament will help bridge the gap and keep the cost of educating them affordable.
