The Lord s Prayer Monday, January 5, 2015 HALLOWED BE THY NAME Matthew 6:9 Names of God Name Meaning Benefit Jehovah Tsidkenu Our Righteousness I am forgiven of all sin Jehovah M Kaddesh Our Sanctifier I am set apart for ministry Jehovah Rapha Our Healer I have health & healing Jehovah Nissi Our Banner of Victory I am secure & victorious Jehovah Raah Our Shepherd I am led by the Holy Spirit Jehovah Shalom Our Peace I have peace & sanctuary Jehovah Shammah The Lord is There I have God s presence & power Jehovah Jireh Our Provider I have success & provision Prayer Focus Worship the name of God, corresponding with the benefits in the new covenant, and make your faith declarations. You are what His name declares. Pray for assurance in these areas for yourself and others. Thank God for every promise that is backed by His name. Skip one meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Be sure to meditate on the Word of God.

The Lord s Prayer Tuesday, January 6, 2015 YOUR KINGDOM COME. YOUR WILL BE DONE. Matthew 9:10 God s will is good, acceptable and perfect (Rom. 12:2). Prayer helps to align our will with His will. When wills and desires change, agendas change. Our plans become second to God s plan. God s plan is for peace and not for evil. His desire is that we have hope now and to secure our future (Jeremiah 29:11). It is God s will that no one would perish, but that everyone would turn their lives over to Him, so we may have life eternal (John 3:16; 2 Peter 3:9). Prayer Focus Pray for: A. World, Nation, State, County and City B. Church 1. Pastors 2. Leaders 3. Members 4. Vision of CFW 5. The lost C. Your Family D. Yourself

The Lord s Prayer Wednesday, January 7, 2015 GIVE US TODAY OUR DAILY BREAD Matthew 9:11 God wants us to ask for the things we desire. It s His good pleasure to provide for us and to give us His kingdom. It is His desire to supply us with the things we need, not only for the BIG picture of life, but also for living EVERYDAY. Prayer Focus Make your requests known to God. Ask Him to bless every area of your life. Skip one meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Be sure to meditate on the Word of God.

The Lord s Prayer Thursday, January 8, 2015 FORGIVE US AS WE FORGIVE OTHERS Matthew 9:12 Forgiveness is the key to receiving from God. The Fact that we are forgiven is what puts us in position to have right standing with God. Being able to forgive is what allows us to show God s love. We stand in constant need of forgiveness, because we are people still learning and being perfected. By not forgiving, we stop up the flow. When we stop up the flow of forgiving, we stop the flow of receiving forgiveness. Practicing forgiveness keeps you free from the offender and free to love unconditionally. Prayer Focus 1) Ask God to forgive you 2) Forgive ad release others. 3) Set your will to forgive those who sin against you. Pray specifically for your offender.

The Lord s Prayer Friday, January 9, 2015 LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL Matthew 9:13 Sin sometimes takes us by surprise, while at other times we knowingly and willingly walk into it. God s leading is the only assurance we have to not fulfill the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). Consequently, there are times when we end up right in the middle of the thing we desired NOT to do, seemingly with no escape. However, that s not the truth. Thank God there is an escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Prayer Focus Be equipped with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-18): Helmet of Salvation Breastplate of Righteousness Belt of Truth Shoes of the Gospel of Peace Shield of Faith Sword of the Spirit (Word of God) Pray for God s Protection in all areas of your life. Skip one meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Be sure to meditate on the Word of God.

The Lord s Prayer Saturday, January 10, 2015 FOR YOURS IS THE KINGDOM, POWER AND GLORY FOREVER Matthew 9:13 Sometimes, we need to be reminded that God is the King. If there is any power to be experienced or glory to be revealed, it certainly isn t because of anything we do. It ALL the kingdom, power and glory belongs to God. By making these declarations, we keep in focus that God is Sovereign and cares for us within His authority. Prayer Focus Make your faith declarations. Return to praise and worship with the Father!

The Tabernacle Sunday, January 11, 2015 Sunday Worship Gathering Message: Clean, But Empty Scripture: Matthew 12:43-45 Prayer Focus: That we would be filled with the Holy Spirit Notes &

The Tabernacle Monday, January 12, 2015 THE BRAZEN ALTAR The brazen altar is the first piece of furniture in the tabernacle. It is the place where sacrifice is made. Everyone entering the tabernacle was ordered to bring a sacrifice to be given as an offering to the Lord. The altar is representative of the cross of Calvary where Jesus sacrificed His life for the sin of the world. In receiving what He did for us, we take up our own cross and present ourselves sacrifices for His sake. Prayer Focus Connect with God for: 1. Salvation 2. Healing 3. Redemption 4. A new nature 5. Provision Skip one meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Be sure to meditate on the Word of God.

The Tabernacle Tuesday, January 13, 2015 THE LAVER (WASHBOWL) The laver is where, after offering the sacrifice, the priests cleansed themselves of the filth of the sacrifice. They were preparing to go into the Sanctuary and serve before the Lord. No filth should ever enter the sanctuary. It would mean desecration to the Holy Place. The laver is representative of how God cleanses us by the Word from dead works to righteousness. It identifies us, similar to baptism, as the called out ones who have had their conscience cleansed and made ready for His use in service. Prayer Focus Connect with God for: 1. Repentance from any known sin 2. Offering our body 3. Cleansing our mind 4. Sanctification 5. Preparing to be used in His service Skip one meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Be sure to meditate on the Word of God.

The Tabernacle Wednesday, January 14, 2015 THE CANDLESTICK (THE HOLY SPIRIT) The candlestick is the place of enlightenment or empowerment. This is was a flame in the sanctuary to light what it stood in front of. This is representative of how the Spirit of God once we have received Him in obedience enlightens us, leads us in straight paths, and empowers us for the life we must live in serving the Lord. Without this illumination, we are lost and wandering not knowing how to discern the Lord s leading, therefore rendered ineffective. Prayer Focus Connect with God by the Holy Spirit in: 1. The seven Spirits of the Lord - Isaiah 11:2 a. Spirit of the Lord b. Wisdom c. Understanding d. Counsel e. Might f. Knowledge g. Fear of the Lord 2. The gifts of the Spirit - 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 Skip one meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Be sure to meditate on the Word of God.

The Tabernacle Thursday, January 15, 2015 THE TABLE OF SHOW BREAD (THE WORD) The table of showbread was set as a food offering to the Lord. It stood for the sustenance to live by. It is representative of the Word of God in our lives, as Jesus quotes, Man can t live by bread alone, but by the words that come from His mouth. Our will is transformed into His will by the revelation of the Word in body (Jesus) and Spirit. We should give ourselves to His Word daily for life in the Spirit, just as food is necessary for life. Prayer Focus Connect with God for fresh revelation of His Word in your life. Skip one meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Be sure to meditate on the Word of God.

The Tabernacle Friday, January 16, 2015 THE ALTAR OF INCENSE (WORSHIP) The altar of incense was where fragrant oils were burned, producing a beautiful cloud of smoke and awesome aroma. It served as something pleasing to the Lord, as sin, in contrast, stinks in His nostrils. This is representative of how our life of praise and worship is pleasing to the Lord. It involves our deepest, most sincere affections toward God, and our delight in serving Him. Prayer Focus Connect with God in praise and worship. Pray for the faith it takes to please Him in everything we do. Skip one meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Be sure to meditate on the Word of God.

The Tabernacle Saturday, January 17, 2015 THE MERCY SEAT (THE ARK) The mercy seat is the place where all of the operations of God concerning us are brought to the place of forgiveness and grace. In this Most Holy Place, the glory of the Lord dwelt in its wonder. This was the place where sins were remitted or retained, and only the High Priest was allowed to commune with God on this level. This is representative of Jesus, the Great High Priest, and the Holy Ghost pleading on our behalf before the throne day and night. If not for the mercies of God to hear us, we would be consumed in our own ways. Although the work of Christ on the cross gave us open access to God, intercession is still made on our behalf. This is what enables us as priest of God to plead on behalf of the world around us. Prayer Focus Connect with God in prayer for: 1. Your authority - spiritual, civil, family, and workplace 2. Your family 3. Your church - pastor, small group, members, and vision/mission 4. Your city, nation, and the world 5. Your needs Skip one meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Be sure to meditate on the Word of God.

Sunday, January 18, 2015 Sunday Worship Gathering Message: Scripture: Prayer Focus: 6am until 6pm Notes &

The Armor of God Monday, January 19, 2015 THE HELMET OF SALVATION We are soldiers in a spiritual battle. Our enlisting into the army of God is the fact that we have received the life of Christ for our own. Being rescued from the enemy, we must rely on this salvation every day realizing that our occupation is found in the new identity we have gained in Christ. We have brand new life as we are equipped with the helmet of salvation. Prayer Starter Thank You, Lord, for my salvation. I receive it in a new and fresh way from You and I declare that nothing can separate me now from the love of Christ and the place I will have in Your kingdom. 6am until 6pm

The Armor of God Tuesday, January 20, 2015 THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS Righteousness is seated in truth, and the truth is what makes us free. With a heart of truth, we are free to serve the Lord with gladness. However, the enemy constantly throws things our way to hurt us accusations of our past, insecurities, inadequacies and so much more. Without the breastplate of righteousness, these things could penetrate our heart and cause us to lose the hope of our future. Guard your heart. Prayer Starter And yes, Lord, I wear Your righteousness today against all condemnation and corruption. Fit me with Your holiness and purity defend me from all assaults against my heart. 6am until 6pm

The Armor of God Wednesday, January 21, 2015 THE BELT OF TRUTH The truth of God s Word is what holds us together in this life with Christ. While we are diligent to strengthen ourselves in prayer, God s Word is what gives us the confidence we need to move forward. It helps us to know that the way we live is not just better, but it s right because it s governed by truth. In order to pull yourself together, you are going to need this belt. Prayer Starter Lord, I put on the belt of truth. I choose a lifestyle of honesty and integrity. Expose the lies I have believed, and show me the truths I need today. 6am until 6pm

The Armor of God Thursday, January 22, 2015 THE SHOES OF THE GOSPEL The shoes of the gospel of peace allow us to step freely and without fear while we turn our full attention to the life at hand. These shoes given by God propel us onward to proclaim the truth of God that gives peace. Prepare yourself to follow the Lord no matter what! Prayer Starter I choose to live for the Gospel in every moment. Show me where You are working and lead me to it. Give me strength to walk daily with You. 6am until 6pm

The Armor of God Friday, January 23, 2015 THE SHIELD OF FAITH The shield of faith not only defends our whole body, but it also shields our armor. The shield has a very specific function, and it is clear in scripture: to quench the fiery darts of the enemy. Because the pieces of the armor are separate pieces, there are places about us that are exposed to the enemy. With faith, we are able to cover those vulnerable areas. Without it, those things that come in unawares can damage us and cause us to be weak in our effectiveness. Prayer Starter I believe that You are powerful against every lie and assault of the enemy. You have good in store for me. Nothing is coming today that can overcome me because You are with me. 6am until 6pm

The Armor of God Saturday, January 24, 2015 THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT Often seen as an offensive weapon, the sword is also useful for defense. Strongholds, arguments and thoughts are all weapons the enemy uses against us. With the sword of the Spirit, the people of God are equipped to deal with them all. When properly valued and rightly divided, we can never be made ashamed. Get a hunger for it. It s really how we live! Prayer Starter Holy Spirit, show me the truths of the Word of God that I will need to counter the traps of the enemy. Bring those Scriptures to mind today. 6am until 6pm

Types of Fasts: THE ABSOLUTE FAST This fast is observed drinking only liquids, such as water or light juices as an option. THE SELECTIVE FAST This fast is observed by selecting certain items of food to be omitted from your diet. One example of the selective fast is the DANIEL FAST. During this fast, meats, sweets and/or bread is omitted from your your menu, while consuming water and juice for fluids and fruits and vegetables for food. THE PARTIAL FAST This fast involves consuming NO food for a specified period during the day, say from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or from daylight to dark. Drinking water is recommended. THE MEDIA FAST This modern fast is common for those who may not be experienced in food fasting or cannot participate due to medical or health issues. It is commonly used for refocusing certain areas of your life that may be out of balance. This fast may include watching no television, limiting phone conversations for a period of time or abstaining from the use of social media. The key to this fast is carefully choosing a way to reintroduce those activities back into your life so that they compliment and encourage order and modesty.
