Dear Spirit of Peace Church Family: May the peace of the Lord be with you! Please welcome our new family members: The Shryrocks; The Fruelings; Bob Mock, and The Taylors! It is with great joy to have them join us here at Spirit of Peace! While the summertime seems slow, there is much going on in the background to get ramped up for the fall. It is my hope that we will start the school year off with a bang! The Christian Education team is working hard to look at curriculum that will be the best well served for our Sunday School classes. It is our goal to have a viable and intentional Sunday School for all ages including adults. Other possibilities are a Wednesday evening Family night. Rally Day (Back to Church Sunday) will be Sunday, September 10 th! The Stewardship Team is carefully discerning how we can have a powerful and impactful Stewardship campaign this fall. Stewardship is about looking at all that God has given us and how we will respond generously to God s blessings. While we should always think about the blessings we have been given, the season of stewardship is to intentionally think about how we will give back to God our time, talents, and money. The Marketing Team will begin in August with our Got Peace Campaign. Look for our digital sign on the billboard on HWY 17! Also, the team is creating a brochure to give to visitors and for handing out to our neighbors. The Reformation Team is beginning to plan for our 500- year anniversary on October 29 th. This team is looking for musicians to accompany the worship service, special speakers for Sunday morning prior to worship, and any other ideas that will make this day memorable. These are just a few things that are happening here at Spirit of Peace. Please check our online calendar on the website for updates. Also, know that each every one of you are invited to participate in the ministries here at Spirit of Peace! Come join us! Blessings on each of your days and for a safe and fun summer! Pastor Terri
