THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION (Unison) + For those who are able, please stand
Merciful God, as we confess to you our sins, we remember our mistakes and failures, as well as our sins. We confess the sins that no one knows and the sins that everyone knows; the sins that are a burden to us and the sins that do not bother us because we have become used to them. We confess our sins as a church. We have not loved one another as Jesus Christ loved us. We ve not forgiven one another as we have been forgiven. We not given ourselves in love and service for the world as Jesus gave Himself for us. Assure and surround us with Your presence that we may be given the power to live as by Your mercy You have called us to live through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN. *** Private Prayers of Confession *** THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON (Responsive) Pastor: Hear and believe the good news: God sends the Spirit into our hearts to free us.
