Faith In Action Faith United Methodist Church Pastor Nancy s Notes Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD! ~ Psalm 150:6 Every week, people in churches all over the world sing songs to God, joyfully telling about the greatness of who He is and what He does. This is praise! It is a passionate and heartfelt adoration to our Lord. A popular song of praise is the Doxology. Do you know what the word doxology means? It means expressing praise to God! The word Doxology comes from two Greek words: - doxa means glory or honor - logia/logy means saying or speaking Therefore, doxology is a way to express praise that gives glory and honor to God! There are many versions of the Doxology. We have two in our United Methodist Hymnal. You can even find a modernized version done by the David Crowder Band on YouTube. And so we sing, Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him ye creatures here below. Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts. Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. ~ 2 Corinthians 13:14 Pastor Nancy 2014 Inside this issue: Ushers/Greeters 2 Birthdays & Anniversaries Amish Country Trip 3 4 Fall Brunch 5 Christmas Notes 7 October Calendar 8 Year End Reports 9

The Faith United Methodist Church congregation, once again gave generously during our Christmas in July Salvation Army Food Basket mission.
