Next time your Pastor wants to change something Or appears to be favoring someone else, Or even asking for money Put yourself in His shoes and PRAY for him! You get more out IF you put more in! Years ago a young boy went with his daddy [A minister] far out in the country to minister at a small church. This particular congregation had a collection box at the door in which members were suppose to put their offerings. When the boy and his dad arrived, they both put an offering in the box a quarter each. Then they went inside for the service. After church was over, the preacher was told he was entitled to take whatever was in the collection box as his payment for coming. When he opened the box, out fell exactly 50 cents two quarters. The boy said, Well, I guess we d have got more out if we d put more in. The truth is, the more you give to God, the more he gives to you. To a large extent you control how much God can bless you by how much material you give Him to work with. July, August 2011 I overheard a Father and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure. Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the Father said, 'I love you, and I wish you enough.' The daughter replied, 'Dad, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Dad.' They kissed and the daughter left. The Father walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see he wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by asking, 'Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?' 'Yes, I have,' I replied. 'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?'.. 'I am old, and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - the next trip back will be for my funeral,' he said. 'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?' He began to smile. 'That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone...' He paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and he smiled even more. 'When we said, 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them.' Then turning toward me, he shared the following as if he were reciting it from memory. I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting. I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye. He then began to cry and walked away. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them; but then an entire life to forget them. TAKE TIME TO LIVE... To all my friends and loved ones, I WISH YOU ENOUGH A minister waited in line to have his car filled with gas just before a long holiday weekend. The attendant worked quickly, but there were many cars ahead of him. Finally, the attendant motioned him toward a vacant pump. "Reverend," said the young man, "I'm so sorry about the delay. It seems as if everyone waits until the last minute to get ready for a long trip." The minister chuckled, "I know what you mean. It's the same in my business." S M I L E Three friends from the local congregation were asked, 'When you're in your casket, and friends and congregation members are mourning over you, what would you like them to say?' Artie said: ' I would like them to say I was a wonderful husband, a fine spiritual leader, and a great family man.' Eugene commented: 'I would like them to say I was a wonderful teacher and servant of God who made a huge difference in people's lives.' Al said: 'I'd like them to say, 'Look, he's moving!'

Last Week I threw out Worrying, it was getting old and in the way. It kept me from being me; I couldn't do things God's way. I threw out a book on MY PAST (Didn't have time to read it anyway). Replaced it with EW GOALS, started reading it today. I threw out hate and bad memories, (Remember how I treasured them so)? Got me a EW PHILOSOPHY too, threw out the one from long ago. Brought in some new books too, called I CA, I WILL, A D I MUST. Threw out I might, I think and I ought. WOW, you should've seen the dust. I ran across an OLD FRIE D, I hadn't talked to in a while. His name is GOD the Father, and I really like His style. He helped me to do some cleaning and added some things Himself. Like PRAYER, HOPE, FAITH and LOVE, Yes I placed them right on the shelf. I picked up this special thing and placed it at the front door. I FOU D IT- its called PEACE. othing gets me down anymore. Yes, I've got my house looking nice. Looks good around the place. For things like Worry and Trouble there just isn't any space. It's good to do a little house cleaning, Get rid of the things on the shelf. It sure makes things brighter; maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF. If you don't feel like you're getting the love you should get, then maybe you should ask yourself if you're giving the love you should give. Got any rivers you think are uncrossable Got any mountains you cannot tunnel through, God specializes in things called impossible, And He can do what no other power can do! Don t stop praying, but have more trust; Don t stop praying! For pray we must; Faith will banish a mount of care; Don t stop praying! God answers prayer.
