Make the higher-value targets more difficult hit by putting obstacles in front of them or by positioning them farther from the children. Lion Puzzle (page 77 in the Middler Teacher Guide) Before class, create the lion puzzle. Make sure you have more puzzle pieces than students. Write a point value on the back of each puzzle piece (ranging from 50 to 150). Allow each student to find and pick up one puzzle piece until everyone has one. Award each student the number of online points written on the back of his or her puzzle piece. The class may then work together to find the remaining puzzle pieces.
