LESSON 3 June 21, 2015 What Is Water Baptism? They should also ask God to help them forgive from the heart, and they should tell someone they trust about how God has helped them to forgive. LESSON 8 July 26, 2015 Serving God Incredible Islands Bible Story: L3 34 Jesus and the Twelve Disciples By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. Explain that disciples of Jesus should become more and more like Him. Distribute note cards or sheets of paper, and ask students to list ideas for specific kind acts they could do for friends and family members. Examples might include sharing a treat with a friend, doing a sibling s chores, or helping a parent around the house. Challenge them to follow through on at least one of these ideas this week. Give each student who completes the quest 200 online points. Situations (page 59 in the Middler Teacher Guide) Keep track of the number of correct answers for each team. Award 100 online points to the members of the winning team. Award 50 participation online points to the other team.

Explain that remembering God s faithfulness is a good way to grow in faith. Giant Pictures (page 71 in the Middler Teacher Guide) Ask three volunteers to donate their pictures of Goliath for a game. Secure the pictures to a wall, and label them: 10 Points, 20 Points, and 30. Points. Make the higher-value targets more difficult hit by putting obstacles in front of them or by positioning them farther from the children. Provide soft, foam balls, and allow each student five turns throwing at the Goliath targets. Record each student s score, and award him or her the same number of online points.

Lion Puzzle (page 77 in the Middler Teacher Guide) Before class, create the lion puzzle. Make sure you have more puzzle pieces than students. Write a point value on the back of each puzzle piece (ranging from 50 to 150). Allow each student to find and pick up one puzzle piece until everyone has one. Award each student the number of online points written on the back of his or her puzzle piece. The class may then work together to find the remaining puzzle pieces.
