State Charity Raffle Tickets and Funds Worthy Grand Knights, Summer is coming to an end and we only have a short few weeks remaining before the NH State Ball on October 11 th. Now is the time to press onward on the sale of the NH State Charity Raffle Tickets, and plan for your Councils attendance at the 2014 State Ball to be held at the Pheasant Ridge Country Club in Gilford, NH. Hopefully by now you are in the process of completing the sale of all your tickets and are now putting together (ticket stubs and funds) and preparing to turn them in at the State Ball. Remember, at the NH State Ball on October 11th, you will need to turn in all sold ticket stubs, and all money collected. Please submit a single check from your Council for the full amount of your ticket sales to expedite your submission. Further details may be found at the State Website. Remember to submit the form to let the State Secretary know to whom to cut the checks for your Council s to distribute to. However, if your council sees that it will be unable to complete its obligation to sell all the books of tickets that they received this year, contact me. I have councils that are eager to obtain additional blocks of books. NOW is the time to make that assessment, so I can reallocate those tickets to another council, in time for them to sell them! It benefits no-one to bring blocks of unsold tickets in October to the State Ball. Help us be successful in exceeding last year s total sales. Hope to see you at the Ball. The Pray For Life Center Manchester NH Website: www.prayforlifecenter.org <-- lots of photos Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/prayforlifecenter The Pray for Life Center, located at 27 Pennacook Street, #1, Manchester, across from Planned Parenthood, is an IRS approved non-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed in direct response to the witnessing of lost innocent human life by abortion in Manchester. It is organized and operated to promote the sanctity of human life in the public square through prayer, education, and Christian charity to all, in the hope that through God s endless mercy, hearts will turn toward life and the lives of the unborn will be spared. Donations can be sent to: Pray For Life Center, 12 Royal Range Road, Sandown, New Hampshire 03873. Contact Cathy Kelley at 483-5177 or send an email to prayforlifecenter@gmail.com for more information. Pray For Life Center is open all day on Thursdays (the day in which 20-30 lives are lost by surgical abortion at Planned Parenthood). For those who cannot walk in vigil outside Planned Parenthood, you are welcome to pray for the unborn, their parents, and the Planned Parenthood staff in our prayer room chapel. Update on Pennacook St Thursday September 18, 2014 A mother of four stopped to talk before going into PP to "be there" for a friend having an abortion. She told us she agreed with us and had tried to talk her friend out of having the abortion. "I'll take whatever information you have and bring it to her. She already has three kids and has some problems and does not feel capable of caring for another child." A woman showed us the paperwork given to her by a nurse that sent her to Planned Parenthood to have an implant as a form of birth control. She was told to return on another day. After all it was abortion day. A mother and daughter got into a loud argument in the parking lot. The mother wanted the "cash" back. She had given her daughter the "cash" to pay for the abortion and now realized, it was paid for by insurance. They drove off arguing and actually came back around the block still going at it. The security guard told us to get their license plate. Sorry. Not in our job description. Please consider joining us in our effort to give information to women before they go into PP. Are you pro-life "enough" to help with the difficult ministry of standing on the sidewalk and speaking to women going into PP; to offer them brochures with alternatives to that ultimate child abuse - abortion? Sidewalk Advocacy training is a four hour class and is a combination of the techniques used by, the Pro-Life Action League's "Chicago Method", Msgr. Reilly's Helpers of God's Precious Infants and Karen Black. Dates will be announced next week. This Thursday after the 7 00 P M Mass All teenagers, parents, grandparents and anyone trying to speak about morals, chastity and abstinence this talk is for you. Buffer Zone Update: Michael Tierney listeners were eager for an update on the buffer zone lawsuit, Reddy v. Foster. The buffer zone law is all about squelching pro-life speech. Why? Because the pro-life message, especially prayer, is effective. In a status report filed in federal court last Friday, all parties to the suit agreed that there had been no factual changes since a temporary restraining order was issued in July to block enforcement of New Hampshire s buffer zone law. The restraining order thus remains in place. He asked participants to contact him or Jen Robidoux if any signs go up outside facilities, delineating a zone we need to report that to the Court.
