Happy Birthday, Missionary! Rev. Dr. Chomingwen Pond was in our church sharing her mission as a theology teacher in Sierra Leone and then in Africa University in Zimbabwe. In both places she also ministered to students and their families. She has quite a history! She was the first woman to be ordained with full clergy rights in the Wisconsin Area of the Methodist Church in 1964. Before being called to mission she served several small inner-city churches; small town circuits including Native American congregations; was an instructor in Systematic Theology at Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio; served with the U.S. Army Special Services in Western Germany and is an author. If you want to donate in her name Africa University is near and dear to her heart. Designate your check to the church to Africa University #5106. Program Cancelled Campbell Soup Labels for Education have been discontinued as of June 30, 2016. Thank you for making this program a success over the years. Thank You! Thank you to all who have helped with the meals at Harvest House which is held at St. James Episcopal Church in West Bend. Approximately 90-100 people from the West Bend area are fed.
