Christian Education Spring Bible Study: the Letter of James How do we live out our Christian faith with integrity in our everyday lives? What impact does (should?) our faith have on things like: Our speaking to and about other people? Our economic pursuits? Our experience of trials and temptations? Our attitude and behavior toward others (rich and poor)? Our life together in the Christian community? Our prayer life? The Letter of James addresses these questions and offers advice as relevant for us today as it was for the early Christian community. Last Sunday School before summer is May 20th until Rally Day on September 9th. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Marsha Wilfong is leading two study groups on James this Spring. All are welcome to join any group: Tue., 6:30pm (through April 10) WPC Conference Room or Wed., 2:00pm (through April 11) Bethany Home VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL JUNE 11-15, 2018 9:00 11:30 a.m. @ FPC March 11th THE SESSION has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, March 11, for the purpose of hearing the Nominating Committee s report and the election of a new Deacon. Hey all you Potential Campers: Camp Wyoming Is Calling! Did you know that Camp Wyoming, a wonderful Christ-centered camp, is only 50 minutes away from Dubuque? Campers are encouraged to take advantage of Early Bird registration (deadline is March 31st) which will also make campers eligible for both Presbytery and Camp Wyoming scholarships. Want to find out more? Pick up a Camp Wyoming brochure in the Coffee Hour Room. Or speak to the pastor or any member of the Mission/Stewardship Com.

Food for the First March Supplies for the Second While serving at the Domestic Violence Center we learned how we can help by providing supplies that are always needed: toilet paper, paper towels, boxes of tissues, toilet bowl cleaner, cleaning products like Windex, laundry detergent, diapers. This month s major needs are Clorox wipes, shampoo, and paper towels. The Dubuque Food Pantry needs your help. All non-perishables are welcome especially macaroni & cheese, tuna and other canned meat, soup, peanut butter & jelly, cereal, rice, pasta, boxed potatoes, #3 baby food, diapers (size 3-5), and baby wipes. Please place your donations to Food for the First in the basket in the Narthex. Your generous donations assist those in need in our neighborhood and help to make their lives a little brighter. Thank You! Mission Committee Please bring your Supplies for the Second to the church and place them in the basket in the narthex the second Sunday of each month. Terri Gronau delivers them to the collection site. First Presbyterian Church 1684 Iowa St. Dubuque, IA 52001
