Pastor Appreciation Sunday: Sunday, October 9 th immediately following the 11:00 a.m. worship service there will be a reception in celebration of Pastor Appreciation Sunday. WaterStep Shoe Drive: Our shoe drive has been a huge success! The church and preschool families donated a dozen large trash bags of shoes. Your donation will assist WaterStep in providing people in Third World countries access to clean drinking water. Additional shoes may be donated at any PPG (formerly Porter) paint stores or the YMCA. WoW: The fellowship committee will be collecting payment for the Wow dinner on 10/12. This will be a catered meal and the cost will be $6.50 per adult. There are 2 different ways to pay. You can either 1.) Drop a check in the envelope on the fellowship bulletin board or 2.) There will be a member of the fellowship committee taking payment in the narthex after the service the next 2 Sundays. Checks are strongly preferred. Parents of Youth: Are you interested in your child having a t-shirt or sweatshirt with the TPC logo to wear to their meetings/activities/events? Hesitant about ordering due to kids growing out of their sizes? We could periodically have a shirt swap! OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD PACKING PARTY NOVEMEBER 2 The Mission Committee will be hosting the WOW program on November 2. We will be doing our Operation Christmas Child packing party that evening. We are asking that you bring donations for the shoe boxes. Suggested Items Larger (WOW) items: Soccer ball (deflated) with pump, Stuffed animal, Toys puppets, trucks, etc.), Doll (baby, Barbie, etc.), Musical instrument, Outfit, Shoes Toys: toy cars, yo-yos, jump ropes, balls, toys that light up and make noise (with extra batteries), etc. School Supplies: pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons, markers, notebooks, paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc. Non-liquid Hygiene Items: toothbrushes, bar soap, combs, washcloths, etc. Accessories: T-shirts, socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips, jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries), etc. If you would like to bring with you a Personal Note: You may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family. If you include your name and an address, the child may be able to write back.
