Adult Discussion Group: As part of their ministry to our parish, the Sisters are leading an adult discussion every Monday on matters of faith, spirituality, family and formation. These discussions are free-flowing and will change as the Spirit leads. All adults of our parish and community are cordially invited to attend and participate. Discussions are held on the same

nights as CCD and at the same time 6:00 PM till 7:15 PM in the social hall. This is an excellent opportunity for all of us to grow in the knowledge, understanding and practice of our faith. PARISH LENTEN MISSION: Once again this year, we will have a parish Lenten Mission to help us deepen our spirituality, prayer life and relationship with Our Lord. The Mission is scheduled for Sunday, March 8 th through Wednesday, March 11 th. I m pleased to share with you our Mission Guide this year is the Very Reverend Archpriest John Fields, Vice-Chancellor for Canonical Dispensations and Director of Communications for the Archeparchy. Fr. Fields will speak each day about the significance of the cross in our lives. A full schedule of services and times will be printed in upcoming bulletins. Please mark your calendars and plan to participate in this very important Lenten Spiritual Exercise. ANNUAL LENTEN FRIENDSHIP BREAKFAST: Our Annual Lenten Friendship Breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, March 28 th beginning with Divine Liturgy at 9:00 AM and a hot breakfast in the hall immediately following. All parishioners, neighbors and friends are cordially invited to join us for this morning of prayer, fellowship and inspiration. Peter & Paul Church Immediately after the 9:15 Liturgy. All are welcome. Donations are accepted and appreciated. THE MISSIONARY JOURNEYS OF ST. PAUL BIBLE STUDY will be presented by Rev. Francis Karwacki, M.ED.M.Div. at 6:30 PM on Thursdays in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hall, 47 S. Market St. Mt. Carmel. The presentation will include videos of the places St. Paul visited and maps of the journeys. Religious Education Teachers (CCD) Teachers) can get credits from the Diocese of Harrisburg for taking the course but all are invited to attend. MOUNT CARMEL LIONS CLUB On Sunday, March 1, 2015 the Mount Carmel Lions Club will once again hold their Semi-Annual All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner at their new venue, Divine Mercy Hall. ( Bottom of St. Peter s Church on West Avenue. Parking available off Cherry Street behind the church/hall.) Doors open at 11:30 AM. The dinner ends at 2:00 PM. Tickets are still $7.00 for adults & $5.00 for children under 12. As always, take-outs are available. Please try to bring your own containers.

Amen PYSANKY CLASSES: Classes in the traditional art of decorating Easter Eggs pysanky will be held at Ss. Peter & Paul Church every Thursday at 6:00 PM during the Lenten Season. Classes will begin on February 19 th and continue each week through March 26 th. We are fortunate again this year to have Rose Demsko of Ranshaw, a renowned expert and accomplished artist, teach these classes. The pysanky classes are free of charge and open to everyone in our community and all age groups. However, children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent. Attendees are required to bring along two uncooked eggs. All other supplies will be provided by Rose. For more information or to register, please call Ss. Peter & Paul Church Office at 570-339-0650. DEANERY LENTEN RAFFLE: Once again this year, the parishes of our deanery are sponsoring a Lucky Three Raffle to benefit Ukrainian Seminary Day and St. Josaphat Seminary in Washington, DC. There are three prizes available ranging from $500.00 to $200.00 to $50.00. Tickets sell for $1.00 each and are available now in the vestibule of the church or in the parish office. Drawing date is Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Palm Sunday Deanery Services. Please support this raffle generously.

A Special Moleben prayer and Healing Service before a Relic of Blessed Bishop-Martyr Mykola Charnetsky, CSsR will be held Sun., Mar. 15 at 4:00 PM in the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in Philadelphia: On Sun,, Mar. 15 at 4 PM a special moleben prayer and healing service before a relic of Blessed Bishop-Mykola Charnetsky, CSsR will be held by Metropolitan Archbishop Stefan Soroka at the golden domed Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 830 N. Franklin St., Phila., Pa. During the service Metropolitan Soroka will also bless a newly commissioned icon of Blessed Charnetsky, which will be available with the relic for prayer and veneration. During the service the faithful will be anointed with the holy oil of healing. Blessed Bishop-Martyr Charnetsky, known as the healer of souls was beatified by St. John Paul II on June 27, 2001 in Lviv, Ukraine. Many personal testimonies are recorded of miraculous healings through his intercession. All the faithful are invited and encouraged to attend these service and to bring their intentions for healing through the intercession of Blessed Bishop Mykola. DIVINE REDEEMER CHURCH MT. CARMEL: Friday, March 6 th A Fish, Macaroni & Cheese and Stewed Tomatoes Dinner will be held from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM in Divine Mercy Hall, 400 Block of W. Cherry St., eat in or take out. ANNUAL EASTER DINNER: Our Parishes Easter Dinner is scheduled for Sunday, April 12 th beginning at 12:30 PM in the social hall of Ss. Peter and Paul Church. We cordially invite ALL families and members of both Assumption BVM and Ss. Peter and Paul churches to come together to celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord in this very special and traditional way. Once again, we will serve all the traditional Easter foods along with Baked Chicken Breast, Whipped Potatoes and Vegetables. Soft Drinks, Coffee, Tea and Dessert are included. Tickets are available now in the vestibule of the churches or in the parish office. Costs are: Adult $7.50, Children 12 and under $5.00 and Families for $20.00. NEXT PYROHY SALE The SS.Peter & Paul/Assumption pyrohy sale will be held on Wednesday, March 18. 2015 starting at 9:00 AM, and on Thursday, March 19,2015 starting at 8:00 AM.
