THANKSGIVING PRAYER For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. Ephesians 1:15-16

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. ASPIRATIONAL THANKSGIVING See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. Colossians 2:8

Faith (πιςτις) The Definition of Faith πιςτις an abiding confidence in the character of God based on His sending His Son and past faithfulness.

Hope (ελπις) The Definition of Hope ελπις- a settled conviction that God s promises of future realities are preferable and inevitable.

Love (αγαπη) The Definition of Love αγαπη- pursuit of the best for others regardless of cost to self.

ACTUAL THANKSGIVING And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. 1 Thessalonians 1:7

Faith that Works (του εργου της πιςτεως) The Definition of Faith πιςτις an abiding confidence in the character of God based on His sending His Son and past faithfulness. The Demonstration of Faith εργον- an energetic orientation of our life toward the purposes and commands of Scripture.

Hope that Endures (της υπομονης της ελπιδος) The Definition of Hope ελπις- a settled conviction that God s promises of future realities are preferable and inevitable. The Demonstration of Hope υπομονη- the willingness and ability to stay in any place God has you until His purposes are accomplished.

Love that Labors (του κοπου της αγαπης) The Definition of Love αγαπη- pursuit of the best for others regardless of cost to self. The Demonstration of Love κοπος- strenuous work to the point of exhaustion in order to move others toward God s purposes for them.

LIVING ON MISSION The church of Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, is consistently thankful for all that God has done and will do.
