NEWS FROM THE PEWS Sacramental Preparation Our grade 7 students will receive Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday, April 5th at 7:00 p.m. at The Cathedral of Christ The King Church. Enrolment Mass for Confirmandi: Saturday, February 9 at 5 pm at Corpus Christi Site Our grade 2 students will receive the following sacraments: First Reconciliation: Saturday, February 23rd at 9:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Site First Holy Communion: Saturday May 11th at 3:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Site Please continue to keep our Grade 7 and Grade 2 students in your daily prayers as they prepare for these very important Good Days in their lives. ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA PARISH WINTER WONDERLAND FAMILY DINNER AND DANCE St. Catherine of Siena Parish will be hosting their First Annual Winter Wonderland, bringing together Our Lady of Lourdes and Corpus Christi sites together on Saturday February 16, doors open at 6pm, dinner at 7pm. Includes 3 course meal with wine on the table. Door prizes, entertainment and dance. Tickets: $50 per person, $20 for children (age 3 to 11). Some children activities will be available. There will also be a display about our new church building project. Tickets are available after all Masses at Corpus Christi and Our Lady of Lourdes or from either parish office. Great family event for Family Day weekend or Valentine's date for couples! CATHOLIC WOMEN S LEAGUE Tea & Treats for Friendship Month Corpus Christi CWL is celebrating Friendship month with Tea & Treats. All women are invited to bring a friend and join us on a special day and time: Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. in the P.J. Daly Room. February is friendship month, so feel free to bring a friend. Annual membership due The annual membership fee of $25 for Corpus Christi CWL is now due. Follow us on Twitter @stmyces SCHOOL UNIFORMS PARENTS PLEASE NOTE Mandatory School Uniform implies that all students arrive at school dressed appropriately and in adherence to the Board and School Uniform Policy. Failure to do so shall result in consequences as outlined in the Uniform Policy. Parents please note that many of our students are wearing tights, or jogging pants. These pieces of clothing are not part of the uniform. Only plain casual twill docker style pants are allowed for students in Grade 4-8. Teachers will be checking for compliance of uniform and will put a note in the agenda. Please make sure your child is wearing the proper uniform. Your support in being compliant is appreciated. If you require assistance, please notify the office. NEXT CATHOLIC SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING The next Catholic School Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 5 at 6:30 pm. We hope to see all of you there! SAVE THE DATE FOR OUR FAMILY MARDI GRAS FUNDRAISER: SUNDAY MARCH 3 We will be having a MARDI GRAS PASTA DINNER, Sunday, March 3, 2019. We are asking that each classroom put together a theme basket to be part of the draws at the Pasta Dinner. Basket themes are listed below. We would kindly ask students to bring in small items relating to the individual theme to help fill up these baskets. We would like to have all the items in by Friday, February 22, 2019. These baskets will be on display at the Dinner where you will have the opportunity to purchase tickets and win one of our wonderful baskets.
