January 18, 015 11:00 a.m. We welcome you to worship with us this morning, as we gather in community to draw closer to God, made known in Christ. We pray you would know the presence of the Lord, through our worship, and through the work of the Spirit. We invite you to take these moments before worship to calm your hearts and minds, and open yourself to quiet stillness of the presence of God! Call to Worship One: Come and see, come and see! All: We come to see for ourselves who this Jesus person is. One: All are invited, come and see! All: We come with open hearts to experience Jesus. One: Jesus is calling your name, come and see! All: We come to follow Jesus. One: Hear God s story, come and see! All: We come to deepen our relationship with God. One: It is time to worship, come and see! All: Yes, Lord, we come to follow you! Let us worship God! *Opening Hymn ##634 To God Be the Glory Prayer of Confession (in unison) God, you know us better than we know ourselves. You know our thoughts, our weaknesses, our motivations, our sins. And you love us still. Forgive us when we don t believe such love is true or possible; When we wonder how You could love us just as we are, when we forget our intricate construction, fearfully, wonderfully made, in Your image! Remove from our minds every thought which keeps us from you. Break down the walls, push aside the pride, and help us to trust anew. You know our hearts. And you love us still. Amen. (A Moment of Silent Confession) Promise of God s Forgiveness One: Hear the good news of the gospel: All: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven, healed, and made whole. One: Know that we have been forgiven, and be at peace! All: The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting. Amen! *Congregational Response (Hymn #581) The Giving of our Tithes, Gifts, & Selves to God Offertory *Congregational Response (Hymn #606) *Prayer of Dedication
