The Last Day! August 11, 2018 This is an article to prove that the day of the Lord is 1000 years long and to begin that long day, Satan will be kicked out of Heaven (Rev. 12:10). Satan will wage war on the saints (Daniel 7, Rev. 11: 1-12, Rev. 12: 7-17 and Rev. chapter 13. Then comes the 1 st resurrection (Rev 7: 1-9) followed by the wrath of God (Rev. 8, 9,10, 11:13-17, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18); then Jesus Christ the King of Kings gets on his white horse and comes to conquer the earth at the battle of Armageddon and rules and reins from Jerusalem (Rev chapters 16: 12-16, 17: 11-14, 19, 20. At the end of the 1000 years the dead are raised to the great white throne judgment, and if their name is not in the book of life they are cast by the holy angels into the lake of fire. (Rev. 20: 11-15) Let s begin our study with verses on the last day(s). You must understand that the last day is qualified by the word in which is a function word used to indicate inclusion, location or position. So we are to understand that these things take place in the 1000 year rein of Christ. (Rev. Chapter 6: 12-17, to Chapter 20.) Isaiah 2: 2 and it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. Isaiah 2: 3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (In the 1000 year kingdom) Isaiah 2: 17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. Isaiah 4: 2 In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. Isaiah 11: 10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. Isaiah 11: 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. (Jew and Gentile) (Hebrews 9: 28, Rev. 7: 1-9 In the 1 st resurrection, Rev. 20: 6)(Exodus 13: 2-3, 9, 17-22) Isaiah 24: 21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. (In that day God will rain judgment for 150 days in Rev. 9: 5 & 10, 5 months is the only length given for the wrath of God. The Jews used 30 days for a month. Genesis 7: 24 the first wrath of God, the flood, lasted 150 days. This wrath from heaven on the unsaved kings of the earth will be the wrath of God, which will be followed with Jesus Christ coming to the 1
ground and conquering the earth) See Rev. Chapters 8, 9, 10. 11: 13-19, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20. Isaiah 25: 9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God, we have waited for him, and he will save us; this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad in his salvation. Isaiah 27: 1 In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan, the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea. (Satan shall be chained for 1000 years in the bottomless pit during the Kingdom when Jesus Christ is ruling on earth. He will be loosed at the end for a short time then after the last battle he is cast into the lake of fire where the beast and false prophet are and have been since the battle of Armageddon) Rev. 20: 1-3, 7-10. Isaiah 61: 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn. (The day of vengeance is the wrath of God) Jeremiah 30: 7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it; it is even the time of Jacob s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. Daniel 7: 21 And I beheld, and the same beast made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; (Rev. 12: 7-17, Rev. 13) Daniel 7: 22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. (Rev.19: 11-21, Rev. 20: 1-15) (Zechariah 14: 1-16) Joel 2: 1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand. Joel 2: 11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible, and who can abide it? (See Joel 2: 2-10 about a part of the wrath of God. Also Rev.9) (Great for the saved, terrible for the unsaved) Joel 2: 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord. (Rev. 6: 12) Amos 8: 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day. Amos 9: 11 In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will build it as in the days of old. (Jesus Christ will build the temple of God when he comes to the earth)(see next two verses) 2
Zechariah 6: 12 And speak unto him saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is the branch; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord. Zechariah 6: 13 Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the council of peace shall be between them both. Isaiah 11: 1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: Acts 13: 23 Of this man s seed (Jesse) hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: (See Acts 13: 22 Jesse and David are named in Jesus lineage) See Zechariah 12: 3-11, 13: 1-2 For more info on what happens in that day. Zechariah 14: 1-15 For more about what happens in the day of the Lord when he comes to the ground. Matthew 7: 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast our devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Matthew 7: 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me ye that work iniquity. (This happens at the great white throne in Rev. 20: 11-15) Matthew 26: 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until the day when I shall drink it with you in my Father s kingdom. Luke 6: 23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. (See Luke 6: 22) John 12: 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word which I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. I Corinthians 1: 7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 1: 8 Who shall confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. John 14: 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in the Father, and ye in me, and I in you. I Corinthians 5: 5 To deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Philippians 1: 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of the Lord Jesus Christ: I Thessalonians 5: 2 For ye yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. (The day of the Lord comes on they or the unsaved as a thief.) 3
I Thessalonians 5: 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (The unsaved (they/them) do not recognize the signs of Jesus coming for the resurrection of the Saints. I Thess. 5: 7) See II Thessalonians 3: 1-3, two things must happen. 1 st the falling away from bible doctrine and our Lord of the Christians and the local churches, and 2 nd the man of sin or beast of Rev. 13 must be revealed before Jesus Christ comes for the Saints. Satan, the beast and false prophet have 42 months to rule the world and make war on the saints. This time appears to have been shortened to 39.5 months due to Daniel 12: 12 (1335days) and Matthew 24: 22 and Mark 13: 20 and Rev. 9: 5 and 10=length of the wrath=150 days) In Matthew 24: 29-31 Jesus says Immediately after the tribulations of those days Mark 13: 24 Jesus says But in those days, after that tribulation. Jesus is telling us that Satan and the Beast s Tribulation come before the 1 st. resurrection. Do not fall for the trap of trying to give all the bad things to the nation Israel for we are grafted in the good olive tree (Israel) in Romans 11 and Ephesians 2, 3 and 4 by Paul. Paul tells us in this next verse of Thessalonians chapter 5 that Satan s tribulation shall not come as a surprise to ye, brethren. I Thessalonians 5: 4 but ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day shall overtake you as thief. I Thessalonians 5: 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. What are we watching for? Rev. 12: 10 Satan being kicked out of heaven and beginning the Tribulation, and I Thess. 3: 2 being fulfilled. We will know at this time about 39.5 months later Jesus Christ will come for the two witness of Rev. 11: 1-12 and that Rev. 6: 12-17, and Rev. 7: 1-9 will be shortly fulfilled and we will meet Jesus Christ in the clouds and go up to heaven for 150 days of the wrath of God and come to the ground with Jesus the King of Kings to conquer the earth and begin the actual kingdom on earth where he will rule and rein from Jerusalem. II Peter 3: 8 But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. II Peter 3: 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The Lord has given men and women 1985 years since he died for the sins of all the world in 33AD and rose again from the dead being the first fruits unto God. I Cor. 15: 22-26 Some scholars believe we have about 2000 years after Jesus Christ rose from the dead when he will come back for the saints and the 1000 year kingdom will begin. 4000 Old Testament years +2000 years = 6000 years + 1000 year kingdom = 7000 years. This is based on Hosea chapter 6. See the next page for these verses of Hosea chapters 5 and 6. 4
Hosea 5: 15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. (Our Lord will leave heaven and come to the earth, be born of Mary and then die for the sins of all the world, then go back to heaven after his resurrection. The last part of this verse in their affliction will probably happen in Satan s Tribulation) Hosea 6: 1 Come let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. Hosea 6: 2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. If these two days are 2000 years after Jesus resurrection for the end of the time of the Gentiles plus the end of the period of grace with the first resurrection of the saints, then the third day is certainly the kingdom! (Based on II Peter 3: 8 for the length of these three days!) We have about 11+/- years until 2029+/- and all these things will all began to be fulfilled. This will make the total time until the end of the kingdom 7000 years. 2018-2033=1985+ 15 years =2000 years + 4000 OT years = 6000 + 1000 = 7000 years Conclusion The 1000 year kingdom includes the following: 1. The kingdom begins with Satan s Tribulation. Satan, the beast and false prophet wage war on the saints. The two witnesses preach during this time. Rev. 11:1-12, Rev. 12:10-17, Rev. 13, Math. 24: 29-31, Mark 13: 24-27 2. The two witnesses are resurrected right before the 1 st. Resurrection. Rev. 11: 12. 3. The 144,000 virgin Jews are resurrected next. They are the first fruits unto God and the Lamb. Rev. 7: 1-8, Rev. 14: 4. 4. The saints of all nations are right behind the 144,000 in Rev. 7: 9. 5. The wrath of God is next in Rev. Chapters 8, 9, 10, 11:13-19, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18. Jesus Christ King of Kings conquers the earth/ Satan/ Beast/ false prophet Rev.19 6. The physical kingdom begins with Satan being chained in the bottomless pit, and Jesus Christ ruling from the new temple he built in Jerusalem in Rev. 20: 1-6. 7. At the end of the kingdom, Satan is loosed, deceives the people in their natural bodies, and comes against the beloved city and God rains fire from heaven and Satan is cast into the lake of fire. Rev. 20: 7-10, Zach. 14: 1-16 8. The great white throne judgment is the last event in the kingdom. Death and hell are cast into the lake of fire. The dead or unsaved are raised out of hell to this last judgment. If their name is not in the book of life they are cast into the lake of fire. Rev. 20: 11-15 Please understand that Matthew 24: 29-31, Mark 13: 24-27, I Thess. 4:13-19 and I Corinthians 15: 51-58 and Rev. 7: 1-9 are all speaking about the 1 st resurrection. The eternal kingdom begins in Rev. Chapters 21 & 22 with a new heaven and new earth and the new city Jerusalem coming down to the earth and there is no more sea. The tears will be wiped put of our eyes and there will be no more death, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain and we will be with God and Jesus Christ the King forever! What a great future awaits those who are saved in the everlasting eternal kingdom! R. A. Vining. See http://christiansquarepeg.com/ for more info. 5
