Olive we celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord s Supper. In this Sacrament we receive, under bread and wine, Christ s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of sins. When we partake of the Sacrament here we give a public confession to our unity in the teachings of the Christian Faith. To commune at our Altar says that the communicant agrees with the Faith as it is believed, taught and confessed at Mt. Olive. Communicant members of sister congregations of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod are asked to announce themselves to the Pastor before the service if communing here for the first time. Members of non- LCMS churches are invited to come forward during the distribution for a blessing and speak with the Pastor after the service about future reception of the Sacrament at Mt. Olive.

Welcome to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church! We are happy that you are here to worship with us this morning. Our prayer is that you will be strengthened in your faith through the Gospel of Christ. Please sign our Friendship Rite pad and join us again whenever you can. We rejoice to welcome Karen Hawn into membership this morning through the Rite of Confirmation. Several Sundays ago we collected a door offering to help a fellow member of the body of Christ cover unexpected medical expenses. A total of $160.00 was given by our congregation and others toward this goal. The individual we helped wants our congregation to know that our gift was deeply appreciated and that he is very grateful for the loving concern expressed by the members of Mt. Olive. MT.
