Ephesians1:11-14 Safe & Secure!

Eph. 1:11-14 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God s possession to the praise of his glory.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (KJV) And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him (NIV)

Rom. 8:28-39 / Eph. 1:11-14 28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. 31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1. If God is for us who can be against us? In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. Reasons Christ will not condemn us: He died for us proves his love He arose proves sacrifice was enough He ascended proves God approved He intercedes proves our case will never go unheard or be out-argued by Satan

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? 35Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written: For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

5. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

How do you reconcile the fact that God has predestined you to live for His glory with your own ability to make choices? 3. Using business logic, what does it mean for the Holy Spirit to be a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance?
