Lightgliders was strategically designed to encourage biblical faith, positive values, and meaningful conversations. In other words, it is a fun discipleship tool created for the kids and families you serve. We created Lightgliders to impact kids before their teenage years in a culturally relevant manner. Fundamental perspectives on truth, morality, and purpose are firmly in place before the teenage years, and kids are spending more time digitally connected than ever before. Lightgliders offers a fun way to engage the kids you care about during their most critical years. Everything in its story, content, and gameplay was designed to teach a biblical worldview, to encourage prayer and reflection, to cast a vision for real-world service, and to spark conversations about life s most important questions. THE LIGHTGLIDERS STORY AND GAMEPLAY Lightgliders is a game world where kids play fun games, and it is a story world where kids enter and become one of the characters. Your kids become students at Lightglider Academy where they are sent out on purposeful missions. Everything is designed to teach a biblical worldview in a fun, gameplay-driven way. The Lightgliders gameplay goals are to RESPECT, RESCUE, and RESTORE. These goals reflect God s love for us and His plan for the world. RESPECT Lightgliders are to respect themselves and each other. Lightgliders practice respect in how they treat and encourage each other in the Academy. This goal to respect is based upon the truth that every human being was created in the image of God and, therefore, has inherent dignity. So God created human beings in his own image. Genesis 1:27a (NLT) RESCUE Lightgliders are sent on missions to battle Machines and to rescue the Gliddles. Once rescued, the Gliddles live in the safety of the Treehouses and enjoy friendship at the Academy. The goal to rescue is based upon the ultimate rescue mission, Jesus on the cross. Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. Galatians 1:4 (NLT) RESTORE Lightgliders shine their light in the darkness to clear the blight and to restore the land s beauty and purpose. The goal to restore is based upon the knowledge that God will one day restore this broken world. For he must remain in heaven until the time for the final restoration of all things, as God promised long ago through his holy prophets. Acts 3:21 (NLT)

KNOW A Biblical Worldview and the Lightglider Values A biblical worldview is important to understand because it shares the story of God s love for us, answers life s biggest questions, and encourages positive values to guide decisions and behaviors. Substantiated by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, a biblical worldview provides the foundation for the five Lightglider values, which are purpose, humility, confidence, hope, and love. CREATION The Bible begins by telling us that God created the world and everything in it. PURPOSE If God created us, then there is purpose for our lives. We can live as if our lives matter, because they do! In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 (NLT) REBELLION The Bible teaches that we are severely flawed due to our sin and selfishness. Every one of us has rebelled against God and has contributed to the darkness in the world. HUMILITY If this is true, then we are weak, dead in our sin, and in need of God s forgiveness. We always have a reason to live with humility. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God s glorious standard. Romans 3:23 (NLT) REDEMPTION The Bible tells us how God s Son, Jesus, took the penalty for sin when He died on the cross. Those who trust in Him are redeemed. The cross is the ultimate rescue mission. CONFIDENCE In spite of our rebellion, God loves us. The cross is the evidence of this. Knowing that we are loved by the One who forgives our past and secures our future gives us confidence. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8 (NLT) RESTORATION The Bible says that Jesus was resurrected from the dead and will come back one day to restore all things to their intended beauty and purpose. HOPE Because of this promise, we can look to the future with hope knowing that all will be made right. The redeemed will live forever with God in His kingdom. The future is bright! GROW In a Loving Relationship with God Growing in a relationship with God comes through prayer and reflection upon truth. Lightgliders offers activities to help. They include: SPARKS Lightglider Sparks are short devotional videos designed to spark meaningful conversations about biblical truths. Each includes a key Bible verse and a reflection question to help apply these truths to everyday life. PRAYERS Lightgliders Prayers are videos that offer Scripture and content to encourage kids to pray. Each ends with a question to prompt additional prayer and reflection. GLIDEBOOK Glidebook is a set of features inside Lightglider Academy designed to encourage spiritual growth. It is filled with daily devotionals, prayers, and reflection questions, as well as a journal feature to keep track of thoughts, ideas, and prayers over time. BLOGS Blogs share themes, lessons, Bible verses, and reflection questions. Lightgliders has both a kid s blog and a parent s blog to relay the weekly curriculum. Families can do these activities together to encourage meaningful conversations, additional Scripture reading, and times of prayer.

HOW TO PLAY THE COMPUTER GAME The Academy Lightglider Academy seeks to shine like a city on a hill in the land of Glideon. There are lots of things to explore here! Treehouse - The Gliddles that you rescue come to live here! You can decorate your Treehouse with furniture you purchase from the Shops. As you rescue more Gliddles, you can unlock more decks and grow more RES and Boosts! Lightgliders live, work, and play! Visit Mission Control, the Library, and the Innovation Lab to meet all the leaders! Quest Log - Keep track of your missions here! Arcade - Enjoy some minigames in the Arcade! Explore the other Academy rooms to find more arcade machines! The Yonders Leader - Different leaders have different missions for you to complete! Completing missions will unlock new ones! Check your Quest Log to find out what to do next. Treehouse, outfits for your Lightglider, or Stickers for your Postcards using the materials you collect in the Yonders! Most missions involve rescuing Gliddles, using your RES to clear the blight, battling Machines, and collecting materials! Locked Missions - Some missions are locked until you have a little bit more experience in the Yonders. Complete previous missions or trade in rare Materials to unlock new missions! Glidebook - Scripture, prayer, and journal activities to help grow your faith! Touch them to add them to your Glide Train and then drop them off at the nearest Zipway to send them back to your Treehouse. Gliddles give you special powers to fight the Machines, so right-click to pick your favorite one!
