SWEET INSPIRATIONS The Quarterly + Newsletter of Inspiration Unlimited & The Paramount Wellness Institute Vol. 49, Summer, 2013 Ireland, A Magical Tour to the Emerald Isle I have just returned from the 2013 Spirit of Ireland tour and to quote several people who went on the tour, It was a most magical time. From the Round Towers at Glendalough and the evening of Irish dancing in Dublin to meditations on the Hill of Tara and the sacred portal tomb site of Four Knocks to our sacred pilgrimage along the path of the pilgrim stones of Glencolmcill, every day was an encore with memories to last a lifetime. We had incredible weather, phenomenal music, wonderful food and the best alchemy of people on this tour. My special thanks to all who went on this mission trip honoring the ruins, runes and tunes. It was indeed, magical. Below are some photos of the tour as well as a link to a complete photo blog (in process) for a more in depth look at how we did our best to heal the Celtic.energy lines of the planet. http://2013spiritofirleandtour.blogspot.com/2013/07/blogpost.html. Life is Short: The Sudden Death of a Colleague Last week I received an email from a colleague in California informing me that a mutual friend had suddenly passed away (she was hit and killed by a driver, walking on the sidewalk of her street, a few blocks from where she lived). LuzAnna Malek was a big fan of my collected works, including Stand Like Mountain and Quiet Mind, Fearless Heart. Last year she had brought me out to southern California to speak at one of her business events, sponsored by Wells Fargo. It was quite the shock to hear of her passing. Through this experience I was reminded (once again) that life is indeed precious and never to take anything for granted. Make it a point to seek a renewed appreciation of life today and tell those you are close to how much you love them. We never know when we will be called home. LuzAnna, thanks for being a bright light on the planet.you will be missed. Random Acts of Kindness for those on the Red Road The following is an email I received from a dear friend of mine that I wish to share with you. In the spirit of random acts of kindness, please consider opening your heart.. Hello to the special people on my email list! I received a phone call today from my Lakota friend, Delbert Charging Crow.!He and his wife left their Wisconsin home in June and are spending the rest of the summer months on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota to help improve the living conditions for the Lakota grandmas and elders there.!for example, one of the things he and his wife are doing is taking a few basic air conditioning units to some elders there. If you don't know about the Pine Ridge Reservation, it is a large Lakota reservation in South Dakota where living conditions are dire. My friend, Delbert, carves amazing stone fetishes... these are small animals (buffalo, bears, beaver, horses, turtles eagles, hawks, etc.) and he attaches a small medicine bundle to them.!the stone speaks to him in a spiritual way and tells him what to carve. He is an incredible artisan! When Delbert phoned me today, he asked if I could help.!his widowed elderly mother, Eleanor Charging Crow, is in her 80s and lives in near poverty on the Pine Ridge reservation.!after a lifetime of helping others on the reservation (she and her husband started and ran the ambulance service on the reservation and she has been involved in many other positive efforts to help others there), she needs a little help herself.!this spring I was able to help her out a little bit by paying her electric bill so her electricity wasn't shut off.!i am hoping that perhaps some of my friends could help her out a little bit now by special ordering one of Delbert's special stone animal fetishes.!he sells some for under a hundred dollars and some for more than a hundred, depending on the size.!he told me that if he could make and sell a few fetishes and give even $200 to his mother, it would help her a lot right now.!i want to reassure you that this is not some sort of email scam or fraud.!i know for a fact that he would not have called and asked me to help his mom today if it wasn't truly necessary, and I have complete trust that the money he gets for these fetishes will definitely go to help his mother, who barely scrapes by.
So if you have a little bit of extra cash on hand to spare and share right now, Delbert and I invite you to phone him directly on his cell phone to special order a fetish from him and make arrangements to pay him and have the fetish shipped directly to you.!you can talk to him about what kind and size of animal you would like him to carve, or you can let him choose something for you. From my own personal experience with the fetishes he has carved for me, I can tell you that they are wonderful special creations that you will cherish for the rest of your life.!and you will also have the satisfaction of knowing that in the process you will truly be helping an elder in need. Delbert's phone # is:!262-366-9137 and he says his cell phone reception on the reservation is good. Thanks for any help you can provide to my friend's mother, Eleanor Charging Crow. Andy Frank
