Offering the Best Christian Education Through Gods Grace February s Chapel News The February Chapel offerings will go to Hearts for Jesus. Hearts for Jesus is an annual opportunity in the LCMS Northern Illinois District to support the mission field in Chicago and Rockford Lutheran schools. Many of these schools are in high crime/low income neighborhoods and are struggling financially to continue to share the Gospel in their area. These schools must rely significantly on gift funding to provide quality Lutheran education. The financial support from other Lutheran schools, congregations and Sunday Schools is crucial in sharing Jesus Christ with these students and their families. The Zion Outreach Committee will again sponsor "Dinner and a Movie Night" Friday, February 16th. The movie will be "God's not Dead." This movie features a debate over the existence of God between an atheist college professor and one of his Christian students. We will serve a light dinner at 6:00 PM and the movie will start at 7:00 PM. This year, in the spirit of outreach, we are asking you to invite a friend, relative or neighbor who is not currently a Zion member. Admission will be free, but we will have a free will donation at the door to cover expenses. Any extra funds will be donated to Zion. At this time, we cannot offer child care during the movie, but we are trying to make these arrangements. For more info, please contact Genny Hertel at dghertel@gmail.com, or Art Ryden at artryden@aol.com Page 8
