THE HOLY GOSPEL Matthew 22:34-40 I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. Please SIT for the Homily THE PROFESSION OF FAITH STAND I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary BOW and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, 5

he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen THE PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL Lord, hear us. OR Lord, in your mercy. Lord, graciously hear us. Hear our prayer. Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen. 6

THE LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST As the Altar is prepared we sing the following hymn Take my life and let it be Consecrated, Lord, to Thee. Take my moments and my days, Let them flow in endless praise. 2. Take my hands and let them move At the impulse of Thy love. Take my feet and let them be Swift and beautiful for Thee. 3. Take my voice and let me sing, Always, only for my King. Take my lips and let them be Filled with messages from Thee. 4. Take my silver and my gold, Not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect and use Every pow r as Thou shalt choose. 5. Take my will and make it Thine, It shall be no longer mine. Take my heart, it is Thine own, It shall be Thy royal throne. 6. Take my love, my Lord, I pour At Thy feet its treasure store. Take myself and I will be Ever, only, all for Thee. Pray, my brothers and sisters, that our sacrifice may be acceptable to God the almighty Father. May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good, and the good of all his holy Church. PRAYER OVER THE OBLATION 7

The celebrant continues with the Eucharistic prayer until we sing: We all KNEEL as the Celebrant continues with the Eucharistic Prayer. After the Lord s words are said over the bread and the chalice we use the following response: The mystery of faith: hen we eat this bread and drink this cup, W We proclaim your death, Lord Jesus until you come in glory. Until you come in glory. At the end of the prayer the priest sings or says: Through him with him and in him. Amen. 8

COMMUNION RITE THE LORD S PRAYER STAND At the Saviour s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say: O ur Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles: Peace I leave you, my peace I give you. Look not on our sins but on the faith of your Churchand graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will, who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen. (If you are not already standing, please stand now) 9

AGNUS DEI COMMUNION Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sin of the world. Blessed are those who are called to the supper of the Lamb. Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed. When offered the Host/Chalice or when given a blessing the response is: Amen. 10

A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another as I have loved you, that you love one another as I have loved you. By this shall all know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another; By this shall all know that you are my disciples: If you have love one for another. DURING HOLY COMMUNION Please SIT for the Notices PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION STAND THE CONCLUDING RITES STAND 11

C ome down, O Love divine, seek thou this soul of mine, and visit it with thine own ardour glowing; O Comforter, draw near, within my heart appear, and kindle it, thy holy flame bestowing. FINAL HYMN O let it freely burn, till earthly passions turn to dust and ashes in its heat consuming; and let thy glorious light shine ever on my sight, and clothe me round, the while my path illuming. And so the yearning strong, with which the soul will long, shall far outpass the power of human telling; for none can guess its grace, till he become the place wherein the Holy Spirit makes a dwelling. 12
