We will be running a sock drive because everybody deserves to be warm especially during the holidays! Our goal for our 2017 sock drive is to collect one hundred pairs of socks. All socks collected will be taken to our local fire department for donation. We know that we can do it because we are such a caring school! Let s go GA! Please drop off NEW SOCKS in the front lobby of the school adult and children s sizes welcome. Mr. and Mrs. Claus Visit Guardian Angels A Message from your Catholic School Trustee During this Advent Season, as we prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, we would like to take this opportunity to thank parents and guardians for choosing a Catholic education for your children. The first three months of the 2017-18 school year have been very successful on many fronts and we have much for which to be thankful. On November 16 th Santa and Mrs. Claus visited Guardian Angels. Thank you to our parent volunteers: Mrs. Andrade, Mrs. Arcilla, Mrs. Estevao, Mrs. Harriott-Gregory, Mrs. Konda, Mrs. Pacheco, Mrs. Rizun-Glynn and Mrs. Rositano for making this day such a huge success! Catholic School Council Please join us for our next meeting on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 6:30 pm All are welcome! Our schools enjoy strong relationships with our families, local parishes and the community at large, and continue to build more diverse, more welcoming, more humane and more inclusive places to learn and to work. We continue to see strong performances by our students across the board in most areas of the most recent EQAO assessment and our graduation rates are among the highest in the province. Your Board of Trustees continues to work hard on your behalf and on behalf of all students and their families. In the words of our Holy Father, As we contemplate the Crib, let us gaze on the open arms of Jesus, which show us the merciful embrace of God, as we hear the cries of the Child who whispers to us: for my brethren and companions sake, I will say: Peace be within you (Ps 121[122]:8). Thank you, again, for supporting Catholic education, and we wish you all a Blessed Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year. Darryl D Souza Brampton Wards 2,5,6

A Christmas Prayer Father God, When your precious Son became a tiny baby in a stable in Bethlehem, in poverty and simplicity, you changed our world. As we imagine those surroundings, we join with the shepherds and the wise men in wonder and praise. We thank you for our material lives, praise you for our spiritual lives, and trust in you for our eternal life. Amen. To the children, parents, family members and friends of the Guardian Angels School Community, We wish you a joyful and holy Christmas Season. The staff of Guardian Angels Catholic Elementary School.
