Fanfare and Procession...Lloyd Larson A Reading from the Declaration of Independence...Mr. Mitch Watts *Presentation of Colors... Russell County Sheriff s Department Honor Guard *Pledge to the Christian Flag: I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag and to the Savior for whose kingdom it stands; one fellowship, uniting all Christians in service and in love. *Pledge to the American Flag: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. *The National Anthem...Francis Scott Key/Anonymous Oh, say can you see, by the dawn s early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight s last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, O er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O er the land of the free and the home of the brave? *Posting of the Colors *Hymn... My Country, Tis of Thee...AMERICA My country, tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing; land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrims pride, from every mountainside let freedom ring! My native country, thee, land of the noble free, thy name I love; I love thy rocks and rills, thy woods and templed hills; my heart with rapture thrills, like that above. Let music swell the breeze, and ring from all the trees sweet freedom s song; let mortal tongues awake; let all that breathe partake; let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong. Anthem... A Tribute to the Armed Services...Lloyd Larson Veterans and active duty service personnel, please stand while your branch of service is being honored. A Prayer for All Military Personnel and Their Families...Mr. Oscar Tuff *Offertory Hymn... America the Beautiful...S.A. Ward O beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain; for purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain! America! America! God shed his grace on thee, and crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea. O beautiful for heroes proved in liberating strife, who more than self their country loved, and mercy more than life! America! America! May God thy gold refine, till all success be nobleness, and every gain divine. O beautiful for patriot dream that sees beyond the years thine alabaster cities gleam, undimmed by human tears! America! America! God mend thine every flaw, confirm thy soul in self-control, thy liberty in law. *Offertory Prayer...Rev. Dr. Ivelisse Quiñones Offertory Anthem... God Bless the USA...Mr. Jonathan Moore *Affirmation of Faith...Rev. Dr. Cindy Cox Garrard I believe in the God of our fathers and mothers, who speaks to us out of the past and guides our steps by cherished traditions. I believe in the God of now, who is still active in the world and reveals himself to those who will do his will. I believe in the God of tomorrow, who holds the destiny of nations in his hands and is shaping the future for the sake of his kingdom. For this reason I bow my knee to Christ, who has revealed the ways of God in our midst, and pledge my allegiance once more to the church, that keeps alive the ministry of word and sacrament for the salvation of all people and the redemption of the poor and needy. May God help me to do my best each day that I live, to love those around me, to walk responsibly in his way, and to pray for the consummation of his will among the nations of the world. Amen. Hymn... This Is My Song...FINLANDIA This is my song, O God of all the nations, a song of peace for lands afar and mine. This is my home, the country where my heart is; here are my hopes, my dreams, my holy shrine; but other hearts in other lands are beating with hopes and dreams as true and high as mine. My Country s skies are bluer than the ocean, and sunlight beams on cloverleaf and pine; but other lands have sunlight too, and clover, and skies are everywhere as blue as mine. O hear my song, thou God of all the nations, a song of peace for their land and for mine. This is my prayer, O Lord of all earth s kingdoms: Thy kingdom come; on earth thy will be done. Let Christ be lifted up till all shall serve him, and hearts united learn to live as one. O hear my prayer, thou God of all the nations; myself I give thee; let thy will be done.

The Pastoral Prayer and Lord s Prayer...Rev. Brett Maddocks Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. The Word through Music: Prayers for the Nations...Lloyd Larson *The Hymn of Dedication... God Bless America...Irving Berlin God bless America, land that I love. Stand beside her and guide her through the night with a light from above. From the mountains, to the prairies to the oceans white with foam, God bless America, my home sweet home. God bless America, my home sweet home. *The Benediction/Table Blessing...Rev. Beckum *Postlude... Stars and Stripes Forever...John Philip Sousa (Please remain in place for the playing of the postlude) *Standing as able ** See Music Box Please follow the directions given by the pastor and join us immediately after this service for lunch in this room!
