Religion from the Land of Dragons: Course Cluster for Fall 18 The Religious Studies Department is offering a cluster of courses focusing on East Asian Spiritual traditions. These courses can be taken individually, or they can be combined to increase focus and deepen understanding. These classes include: RS 391 Wisdom of the Tao RS 345 Taijiquan (CR/NC) RS 394 City of 10,000 Buddhas (CR/NC) RS 394 Zen Weekend (CR/NC) Each of these classes will function as a stand-alone class that offers an introduction to its own specific topic. But students are encouraged to sign up for two or three or even all four of these classes to deepen their understanding and broaden their exposure. For those students who sign up for RS 391 Wisdom of the Tao and 345 Ta iji, we will work together 5 days per week, which will enable us to build relationships among ourselves, and to intensify our exposure to Zen, Taoism, and the spiritual arts of China, Korea, and Japan.
