WE LEFT OFF HERE LAST WEEK Yeshua taught By Example Modeled Demonstrated Day and Night training Tested His Disciples by Sending them out
Jn 13:15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Jn 13:16 I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Jn 13:17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
1Pe 2:21 To this you were called, because Messiah suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
Ac 1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Yeshua began both to do and teach, Ac 1:2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
From the Time Yeshua chose His disciples until He departed from them He was Constantly Teaching, Constantly Training, Constantly demonstrating because He knew His time was short. Day and Night for 70 Weeks by some 3 ½ Years by others
Mt 4:18 And Yeshua, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. Mt 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Mt 8:21 And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Mt 8:22 But Yeshua said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.
Lk 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Yeshua discipled/taught by example So did Paul and So are we
1Co 11:1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Messiah.
Phil 3:17 Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you.
1Ti 4:12 Don t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
Tit 2:7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness
What Every Messianic Should Know
Hebrew vs Jewish Roots
JUDAISM is The religious system held by the Jews Messianic JUDAISM is The religious system held by the Jews whom SOME believe in Yeshua (Yamulka, Tallits)
Gal 1:13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: Gal 1:14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

Hebrew Roots approach scripture from a Hebrew Perspective Jewish Roots approach scripture from a Jewish Perspective
The Scriptures Only
1. If it is in the bible then we should try to understand it so we can live it 2. If it is not in the bible then you should question it 3. Do not go beyond what is written
1Co 4:1 So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. 1Co 4:2 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful..
1Co 4:3 I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. 1Co 4:4 My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.
1Co 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
1Co 4:6 Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, Do not go beyond what is written. Then you will not take pride in one man over against another
4. Communicate ONLY what Scripture is CLEAR on Don t get caught in the trap of using terms and phrases that you can t find in the Bible (trinity, rapture, etc.)
1Ti 1:4 nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than God s work which is by faith.
People come into this movement and they want to change their name If you want to change your name that is fine If you want to start speaking Hebrew that is fine
just understand it is not required to be a follower of Messiah, who spoke Aramaic,Hebrew and probably Greek and Latin. Also only a handful of people you know speak Hebrew which leads to a person wanting to move to the Holy Land or joining a community that speaks their brand of Hebrew
Classical Hebrew Paleo-Hebrew dates to the 10th BCE Archaic Biblical Hebrew 10th to the 6 th Standard Biblical Hebrew 8th to 6th Late Biblical Hebrew, 5th to the 3 rd Israelian Hebrew is a proposed northern dialect of biblical Hebrew Dead Sea Scroll Hebrew from 3 BCE Mishnaic Hebrew from the 1st to the 3rd or 4th century CE
Modern Hebrew Standard Hebrew, as developed by Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, was based on Mishnaic spelling and Sephardi Hebrew pronunciation. However, the earliest speakers of Modern Hebrew had Yiddish as their native language and often brought into Hebrew, idioms and literal translations from Yiddish.
When the Holy Spirit was given He spoke to the people in their own language
Ac 2:7 Utterly amazed, they asked: Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? Ac 2:8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language? Ac 2:9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
Ac 2:10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome Ac 2:11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!
Next they start talking funny and using words ending in Yah, eliminating J s and shunning anything Greek as pagan. This leads to isolation and cultlike behavior that causes family members to think you have really lost your mind. Next they want to correct others.
This message is strange and different all by itself. It cuts against the norm and challenges the religious status quo. You further complicate the message with that type of behavior and alienate people who may otherwise listen. In other words, this is another form of adding to the Torah.
Avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, Titus 3:9-11
