November 2015 East Ohio Emmanuel Emmaus, Inc. Men s Walk #89 For we are God s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10 NLT As with every Emmaus Walk, the Lord s blessings were poured out to us in abundance throughout the Men s Walk Weekend #89! The amount of agape love displayed from the 4 th Day community was overwhelming. Various people went above and beyond to show their love. This was seen, felt, and appreciated deeply. There were many reflections of Christ and Christ s love throughout the weekend from both 4 th day, team members, and pilgrims alike!! As for the pilgrims, each of them were an amazing blessing to the team. We worshipped the Lord mightily and the Holy Spirit made his presence known all weekend long. I pray that everyone reading this comes to the November gathering to welcome the newest members of our 4 th day, and to hear how the Lord is changing lives from our fantastic weekend. Our Lord never fails, and never ceases to amaze With much love - Your fellow servants in Christ, Brett Waller and Men s Team #89 Women s Walk #89 Yet, you Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter. We are all the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8 Wow! God was truly present and accounted for on Women's Walk 89! He blessed, healed, broke, filleted and sought out the hearts of some pretty awesome ladies, He truly molded us into the women He intended for us to be. Everyone seemed to bond the first night and continued to grow stronger as the weekend progressed. The team loved on and served these women like I have never seen before. The pilgrims left Camp Wanake with a true sense of Christ's deep abiding love for them. It was a privilege to be a part of such an awesome group of beautiful sisters in Christ! DeColores! Board Regulations NOTICE: The Board has proposed a slight change in the Regulations (By Laws) of the East Ohio Emmanuel Emmaus Community. It was brought to the Board's attention several months ago that some of our Board Members have missed more than 3 meetings this calendar year. According to the By Laws, missing 3 meetings results in removal from the board. They can be reinstated at the discretion and vote of the board. This rule was originally intended to give the Board a means of removing a Board Member who is not dedicated to his position. Unfortunately, the way the regulation is written, it does not take into account unexcused absences. As a result, we are repeatedly reinstating Board Members who are otherwise committed to their position. We trust that our proposed change will simplify this cumbersome process and align itself with the original intent of the regulation. Please see the following proposal which will be voted on at the November Gathering on November 21, 2015. Article IV Section 10 Currently Proposed By Laws Change 10-19-15 A Board member may voluntarily resign from Board membership with a written notice to the Board. Removal from the Board will occur if any member is absent from three (3) regularly scheduled meetings in any consecutive twelve (12) month period. Appeals will be considered by the Board at the next regular meeting. Reinstatements will require approval of three fourths (3/4) majority of the Board members present. The Board will have the latitude in the basis for reinstatement. The Board may elect persons, upon nomination by the Community Lay Director, to fill vacancies for the remaining unexpired term of office.
