RESPONSE TO THE WORD AND RETURN TO THE WORLD *Hymn of Response Living For Jesus #372 Congregational Life and Ministry Joel Russell-MacLean Call to Prayer Prayers of the People Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. Jesus meets us, risen from the tomb; Lovingly He greets us, scatters fear and gloom; Let His church with gladness hymns of triumph sing, For her Lord now liveth; Death hath lost its sting. Repeat Refrain The Benediction Mark McKim Some of your fellow worshippers often choose to stay in their seats during the Music for Departing, for a time of reflection or prayer. Perhaps having busy families, many responsibilities, frantic schedules or matters of heavy concern, this may be one of the few opportunities during the week which they have to be alone with God. If you prefer to leave the sanctuary during the Music for Departing, feel quite free to do so, but please exit quietly and unobtrusively out of consideration for those who wish to remain. Each of us must please our (Romans 15.2) Music For Departing (by request) Mark Anderson 3

BRING A FEW TAKE A LOT BOOK EXCHANGE Back by popular demand, our spring book exchange is on again Sunday, April 29 th. Bring your books on Sunday morning in bags or boxes (please, Fo spend a few minutes viewing the books for exchange. The church library has received many fine donations over the past year. Thank you! Some of can be traded. Also, the church library sometimes has to weed out old books, to make room for the many wonderful new books. (Toughest part of being Librarian books to part with). ~Collin Carbno deciding which SPRING CLEANING the bottle return fund are looking for donations of bottles and cans to reduce debt for the church. Donations gratefully accepted in the east foyer barrel. Many people think that Easter is just one day. But how could only one day be sufficient to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead! During this time readings from the Old Testament are set aside and instead we hear readings from the Book of Acts, which is the story of the early church, as the first Christians worked out what it meant to live as followers of the risen Jesus. During this time we continue to sing lots of our favorite Easter hymns, celebrating the resurrection. I wish to thank every person who prayed for my niece Megan Fonstad and her family from the diagnosis of her cancer to the time of her passing. I have appreciated the thoughts, the kind words and the prayers. ~Judy Grimsrud~ 5
