St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield. Please join us for this special Celebration of the Eucharist to remember and honor our deceased veterans and other loved ones who have gone before us. WE WELCOME INTO OUR PARISH FAMILY THROUGH THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM: Avery Rose Eichner daughter of Samantha and Matthew Eichner May the grace of God she received at her rebirth remain with her always and may she grow in the love and friendship of our loving Father. It is customary and fitting to remember loved ones who have died with memorial donations to a favorite cause or charity. In this way, the memory of the deceased is honored and a good work, either civic or religious, is perpetuated. There are numerous charities that have been traditionally designated for such purpose. At times, we are also offered donations to these funds to honor particular individuals at special times of the year or to commemorate an event in their lives. Memorial donations to the Remembrance Fund are restricted to the betterment and furtherance of our worship and our place of worship - the Church, as the needs present itself, or as determined by the Pastor. We are grateful to the following who have donated to St. Joseph Remembrance Fund: In Remembrance of William Lindsay Helen Viner Valerie Stelma James & Frances Gothers Warren & Ruth Johnson Lisa Marquardt s Friends at Great Lakes We are grateful to the following who have donated to St. Gabriel Remembrance Fund: In Remembrance of Anthony Toce and Mary Drost Joe Cymerys In Remembrance of Dorothy Spataro and Vinnie D Angelo Marge & John Conforto In Remembrance of Anna Rogovich Judith & Timothy Kowal In Remembrance of Victoria Noga Steven & Helen Fetko Pat & Stanley Zimowski Steve Fetko Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, "Peace be with you. The Liturgy Corner In a world where much turbulence and suffering abounds throughout the earth, we must stop and take time to notice the beauty of all that God brings to us and the wonderful and giving people who surround us. Prayer for the Protection of Children and Young People Heavenly Father, Pro-Life Thought of the Week We are the people of life because God, in His unconditional love, has given us the Gospel of life and by this same Gospel we have been transformed and saved. The Gospel of Life, # 79 Pope John Paul II You have entrusted us with the protection of our children, young people, and vulnerable adults. May the Holy Spirit guide our steps as we help shepherd their paths. May our Church leaders, teachers, parents, and those entrusted with care, responsibility, and/or supervision of vulnerable adults, be filled with a wise and discerning spirit, fostering an environment that is embracing, instructive and safe. Widen our hearts and perspectives to listen gently and with compassion to the experiences of this suffering, victims and potential victims of abuse, being ever mindful of the fragility and honor in safeguarding their trust. May the Holy Spirit embolden us to speak and act judiciously, wielding the sword of truth, and may Your courage be ours as we stand in the gap on behalf of the innocent. May we continue to grow in our own paths to holiness, ever listening to the rhythms of Your voice, ever obedient in following Your will, ever humble in our responsibility. Amen.
