Treasurer s Report April 2014 Balance Sheet Trinity s assets on April 30 th totaled $599,857: $21,200 Checking and savings accounts $86,483 Chevron stock (689 shares @ $125.52) $492,174 National Financial Services & EverBank accounts Income Statement April 2014 YTD Prior Year Operating income $ 16,527 $ 84,630 $ 78,681 Operating expenses 24,100 79,296 78,040 Net profit (loss) -7,573 5,334 641 Non-operating income 2,461 5,387 4,859 Non-operating expenses 541 3,339 2,748 Net profit (loss) 1,920 2,048 2,111 Total income 18,988 90,018 83,540 Total expenses 24,641 82,635 80,788 Net profit (loss) -$ 5,653 $ 7,383 $ 2,752 1 st qtr. diocesan assessment ($4,975), Workers Compensation insurance ($758) and NYS Disability insurance ($131) were paid in April. Offering income for the month of April was low. We did not experience the bump in income that we normally see around Easter. May income to date has been low and is further straining cash flow.
2 Costs to renovate 20 Main will exceed the $2,000 budgeted for repair and maintenance. The vestry will need to determine how to fund the overage, considering our cash flow. This year s payment of approximately $3,000 to the Diocesan Roof Reserve Fund was omitted as an expense from this year s budget. The vestry will have to decide by year s end how to fund that item. Hance Huston proposed the following changes to the current budget to adjust expenses that were over- and under-estimated: Line Item Category Was Will Be 205-01 Adult Choir $ 700 $ 550 203-105 Organist Professional Expense 500 100 203-109 Organist Supply 800 600 201-03 Christian Ed: J2A 2,500 2,000 203-012 Clergy Supply 500 1,550 Hance Huston made a motion to amend the 2014 budget with revised expense line items as listed above. Connie Smith seconded. Vote was unanimous in favor. Motion carried. The vestry discussed how the $10,000 donation that was received last month for buildings and grounds may be used. The meeting adjourned for 15 minutes so that the members could perform a brief inspection of the property to identify specific maintenance items. The maintenance wish list is attached. Old Business 20 Main Status The vestry expressed thanks and appreciation for those who have been working on the 20 Main renovation for the past several weeks and also those who helped out during the Work Day on May 18: Wayne Bunker, Frederick Villforth, Bob Tetrault, Connie Smith, Mary Hendricks, Michelle Iacuessa, Ken Gross, Jeanne Mierzwa, Rev. Jean, Joe Bird, and Beverly Simmons. A few repair items still remain to be done. A walk-through with River Management is scheduled for this week at which time we will sign an agreement to list the rental with them. Sabbatical Responsibilities During Rev. Jean s sabbatical leave, the wardens will have oversight of the parish and the current organization/committee heads will continue in their present ministries.
