Activity Co curricular activities can help students to become well-rounded. The ranges of options in primary schools helps students narrow down their interests and discover their passions. Cocurriculars provide the opportunity for hands-on application of classroom lessons. Children who participate in Cocurriculars activities develop a healthy sense s of competition yet learn to be gracious in defeat. Cocurriculars provide opportunities for children to take initiative and learn effective leadership skills. They also provide an appropriate outlet for expressing feelings, helping kids learn to communicate and offering tangible rewards for hard work. Health & Hygiene Wash your hands. Brush your teeth. Did you use soap? These are just a few of the phrases preschool parents repeat like a broken record. It's a fact: children and germs go hand in hand.. Getting preschoolers to take over the brushing, scrubbing and rinsing themselves is an important step in the development of a preschooler's independence. Not only does it give parents a welcome break and help ditch the dirt in the short term, but teaching basic hygiene concepts to children at a young age will form the groundwork of a healthy lifestyle in the future. Friendship Day Celebration Children celebrate the joys of making and having friends with our friendship theme. They engage in sharing and caring activities, games, songs, rhymes, literature, and snacks. The Plant Seeds of Friendship and Friendship Quilt activities are excellent starting points for discussions on friendship behaviors. These behaviors are reinforced when children work w together to draw a picture, send each other thank you notes for acts of kindness, learn to read each other's names, and act out friendship skits.
