مي رحبهللا هللا م سا هللا م س ب 18-12-1437 Class 6 20-9-2016 Before mentioning any type of sickness, the cures are mentioned: The Qur'an (and Surah AlFatihah in particular) and دعاء (Supplication). They are a cure for all sicknesses - whether physical or related to the heart. Recap and Continuation: Some of those who are deceived are deceived by all the blessings Allah gave them and believe that it will not be changed and think this is out of the love of Allah for them, and that they will be given better in the hereafter. And this is from deception.
The Dunya is not a criteria by which you measure the love of Allah. Allah gave the Dunya to Qarun, Pharoah, Ad, Thamud, but it does not mean that Allah is pleased with them. In [19:77-80]: "Have you seen him who disbelieved in Our Ayat and (yet) says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children [if I will be alive (again)]," "Has he known the unseen or has he taken a covenant from the Most Beneficent (Allah)?" "Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall increase his torment (in the Hell);" "And We shall inherit from him (at his death) all that he talks of (i.e. wealth and children which We have bestowed upon him in this world), and he shall come to Us alone." Some of the Salaf said, "If you see Allah showering you with blessings over blessings and you are established in committing sins, then beware, this is (step by step deception of blessings, until you fall into the punishment ا س تدراج and destruction)"
Allah gives because He is the Most Generous, the Most Rich - not because we deserve it. Do not be deceived of your state because of the generosity of Allah. In [82:6]: "O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous?" And some of the Salaf said, "It may be that a person is taken into destruction by the blessings of Allah and he does not know, and it may be a person is deceived by the covering of Allah of his sins and he does not know, and it may be a person is tested with praise of the people and he does not know" You can get deceived by: 1) The Blessings of Allah 2) The Covering of Allah 3) The Praise of the People This is why it is very important to learn about the actions of Allah, and His Names and Attributes. E.g. A person may commit sins and does not see the punishment immediately. This is because Allah is م ح ل ب - The Forebearing - so do not be deceived by this. And beware of making other people sick by putting it in their heads. If they get a Dunya related blessing do not tell them it is because they are a good person, they deserve it, etc.
Do not praise them, especially for qualities they do not have in themselves or for things they did not do. In [3:118]: "Think not that those who rejoice in what they have done (or brought about), and love to be praised for what they have not done,- think not you that they are rescued from the torment, and for them is a painful torment." Those who are deceived are sick and do not realize that they are sick. Allah gives ; م ح ت (The Provider). He covers your sins because He is م ز ق because He is not because He is pleased with what you are doing.
The People who are most Deceived The most deceived of people are those who are deceived by this Dunya. They prefer it over the hereafter and are pleased with it over the hereafter. Some of them even say, "The Dunya is like cash, and the hereafter is Nasee'ah, and cash is better than that" Although Allah has constantly mentioned in the Qur'an that the hereafter is better for us than this life. In [87:17]: "Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting." And in [75:20-21]: "Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world,"
"And leave (neglect) the Hereafter." And this is of the greatest deceptions of the Shaytan, and the cattle who do not understand have more logic than them. For if the cattle fear a harm, they will not go, even if you beat them. And yet those people know it is bad, and still go towards it......if one of them believes in Allah, His Messenger,ﷺ the Meeting, the Recompense, and still goes forward, then he is of the greatest people who feel regret, because he is going after the Dunya whilst having knowledge... On the Day of Judgement, after the judgement, the animals will all be turned to dust. When the disbelievers see that, they will say, as Allah mentioned in [78:40]:
"Verily, We have warned you of a near torment, the Day when man will see that (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say: "Woe to me! Would that I were dust!" And from the Hadith narrated by Mustawrid, The Prophet ﷺ said: "The world compared to the Hereafter is but like what one of you gets when placing his finger into the sea, so look at what you draw from it." [Tirmithi]
And if man were to just ponder over his state; from how he began as a Nutfah (A drop of water - something so small and disgraced) until he became a complete human. This makes it clear that it is not possible that the One who took care of him and took him from one stage to another, to neglect him without a purpose, to not command him nor prohibit him, to not show him His rights over him, and not reward nor punish him for that. This is the difference between Good Thinking and Deception. Good Thinking about Allah should motivate a person to perform good deeds. If this "positive thinking of Allah" calls a person to falsehood and to commit sins, then it is Deception. And Good Thinking of Allah is Hope. So whoevers hope guides him to obedience to Allah and prevents him from committing sins, then it is correct Hope.
Hope and Good Thinking of Allah can only happen when it is done along with taking the means for it; the means which Allah has allowed. E.g. You are sick. You take the means of cure, and rely, think good of Allah, and hope that He will cure you.
