S T P E T E R & S T P A U L, S T A N D R E W, S T P H I L I P & S T S A V I O U R Tonbridge Parish News Sundays 12 and 19 June 2016 090 Dear Friends Dear Friends The summer term is often the most stressful of the academic year, especially for those facing end of year exams. While most of our Refresh youth group have got the bulk of their exams out the way, there are still a few more to come. What s more, after the GCSEs and A levels, there follows a nervous period of waiting. The promise of the summer holiday, however, brings with it a sense of relief and excitement. Whatever you have planned for your summer, there is certainly lots going on and lots to pray for in the life of the parish. Holiday Club, Cold Harbour and Soul Survivor, are just three events this summer which I commend to you for your consideration and prayer. (More information available on the new parish website). Our Summer Praise and Prayer is a great opportunity to pray for all that is going on; for those nervously waiting for results, for families going on holiday, and for our parish events. It would be great to see you there, as we come together as a church family to seek God s blessing at the close of another academic year. Events He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away Revelation 21:4 You are warmly invited Healing Service St Peter & St Paul, Church Lane, Tonbridge Speaker: Yolanda Roberts Sunday 19th June Collects: Trinity 3 and 4 Almighty God, you have broken the tyranny of sin and have sent the Spirit of your Son into our hearts whereby we call you Father: give us grace to dedicate our freedom to your service, that we and all creation may be brought to the glorious liberty of the children of God; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that with you as our ruler and guide we may so pass through things temporal that we lose not our hold on things eternal; grant this, heavenly Father, for our Lord Jesus Christ s sake, who is alive and reigns with you,
