HOLY CROSS CHURCH Jesus said to him in reply, It also, says, you shall not put the Lord, Your God, to the test. (Luke 4:12) Dear Friends: How can I help others without demanding anything for myself? This year has already proven to be a very busy time for life in our area. In January, we opened our doors to the public in our new "forever home". We are so excited to be in a location that lends itself to attracting many women pregnant with both wanted and unwanted babies. Our work can be difficult, but due to the support of people like you, we continue to speak the truth to women seeking help. Lenten Stations of the Cross are celebrated every Friday evening of Lent at 7 p.m. in the church. Enhance your observance of Lent by participating in this commemoration of the passion and death of the Lord. Our Lenten Fish Bake will precede Stations at 5-7 p.m. on March 29. On Friday, April 12, there will be a Simple Soup Supper at 5:30 p.m. followed by Living Stations of the Cross by parish Youth. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to do the following this past year: Provide free diapers, wipes and baby items for over 50 children each and every month through the entire year Provided ultrasound imaging to over 60 women since the end of September Provided counseling and medical services to women in 30 different area towns Provided Abortion Pill Reversal services to 2 women in 2018 and have three beautiful new babies saved from abortion, after it already started! Provided groups of post-abortive men and women with healing support allowing many to speak of their abortions; some for the very first time. The music ministry is always looking for new members at all masses! Vocalists and instrumentalists are welcome. If you are given a gift or a talent, who better to share it with than each other and the One who gave it to you. Please see Director of Music Chris Iannitelli after mass, if interested. He can also be reached at ciannitelli@holycrosseaston.com. On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers, please know how grateful we are for your support in what God is doing in and through Abundant Hope. We re excited to continue showing the community Christ s love in all we do. We know that we could not do this without your prayerful and financial support. My records indicate that that last May you blessed us with an incredible Baby Bottle Drive netting $1722.00! May we count on you to assist us again this year? Please plan to visit us at our new office located at 152 Emory Street, Unit 4 in the rear. You may join us during our Open House on March 30 from 8am - noon or give us a call and we will set up a more convenient time. We re excited to show you our beautiful new home. God Bless, Darlene Howard Executive Director Abundant Hope PRC Lenten Holy Hour will be held in the church every Saturday of Lent from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., with an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. 2
