P A G E 2 Dear Brothers: EDITORIAL It is fraternity meeting time. Moreover, the time is here to elect new officers for the incoming year. As the chapter community and IHQ responsibilities become greater, it becomes incumbent upon us to elect responsible officers. Be sure to continue this fine judgment. The weekend of June 8-10, Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza at (800)922-3298, there will be a Province retreat for chapter polemarchs and advisors. In the past, newly elected officers are welcomed. Of course there will be the C.R. Leadership onference in Sept. which will be all inclusive. Province Polemarch Finney is considering an Intake during this weekend as well. It is quite tentative, however. registration and Reservation forms are included here. Naturally this will be a good Kappa Weekend. Black & White Ball time is near -- May 19th, 9:00-1:00 am, Dunn-Oliver Acaadome. The Social Committee has the invitations for those brothers who have not already picked up theirs. Two weeks is an acceptable lead time for invited guests. Up to date arrangements will be given at the meeting. Remember: A brother's table will not be placed on the floor untill the full assessment has been paid. The 62nd Province Council in the Bahamas was quite a success. Grand Polemarch Randy Bates was there to give his message. He continued to stress his strong ties to the Southern Province. Delegates Jenkins, Dotson, and Colvin will give their report at the meeting. By head count, 24 brothers from the Montgomery Alumni Chapter were present. When you include wives and sweethearts, that makes quite a delegation. For you information, the 63rd Province Council will be in Birmingham, Spring 2013. Reservations are not out yet! Election Time: Names of nominees have been turned in and the ballot has almost been finalized. Remember that nominees must be fully financial. Members must be financial in order to vote. Past Polemarch Wlliam Gary, Sr., fresh from the Bahamas, spent a few days in Jackson Hospital with Dr. Brian Gary at his bedside to assure that his dad got the best of care. Such must have been the case. Brother Gary has long since been out of the hospital and just might be doing his usual rounds! George Alexander's son has followed in his dad''s footsteps. A Morehouse student, he was intiated into Pi Chapter at the Southeastern Cluster in Charleston, SC, Apr. 7th. Raffle tickets are now available. There is no better time than summer for selling. See what you can do. Further, it will speed Bill Gary's recovery a great deal. The Montgomery Pan Meeting went very well, Apr. 29th at Mt. Zion. Polemarch Pernell Jenkins did us proud when he gave the statemen re: the hapter's accomplishments over the past year...dennis Barnes carried out his role for the memorial service...incidentally, the chapter will host the May 17th meeting of the Council at 6:00 pm, at House #1. Come out and help being a good host. Enjoy the CirKular and we look forward to seeing you Sunday evening. Yours In The Bond, Ralph J. Bryson, Keeper of Records C I R K U L A R
