Dear Rebbe, When you encouraged Jews begin putting Tefilin 30 years ago, many sof by and snickered. Today, thanks your foresight, millions of men put on Tefilin daily, millions of candles brighten Shabbat tables, millions of pennies have filled millions of pushkas and millions of Jewish homes have been uched. Where others have made committees; waited for grants be approved; set up subcommittes; decided that due lack of funding a program woud have be aborted; and built wonderful edifices with skyscrapping offices; You and your emissaries have demonstrated that a uch of Jew on need only have the willingness, determination, and a real understanding of what Ahavas Yisroel means. Friendship Ci r c l e: Established in Spring 2005, the Friendship Circle offers a helping hand children with special needs by involving them in a full range of social and Judaic experience. This unique program also pairs teenage volunteers with special needs children in their homes on a weekly basis.
