The Sparrow s Nest provides resources for more than just the students in their house. They keep extra food and toiletries at the office location, provide case management, and offer a safe space for students to keep warm, eat, or just take some supplies to go. Once a week 16-20 pounds of food is picked up from the food bank and brought to Linderman for the students to take home. Exciting Developments One of our former residents has joined the Army and 4 past residents will be in college next semester! A passenger van was donated, we were given snow tires and a benefit concert brought in over $18,000! Thank you to the community. Page 3
ADORATION General Announcements Jesus Invites Us to Adoration From the Tabernacle Jesus invites us to bring to him our concerns and our petitions. In the visit to the blessed Sacrament and other acts of worship offered to the Holy Eucharist we give thanks for this gift. There we can prepare to find new strength, to tell Jesus that we miss him, to tell him that we need him very much...the Eucharist is reserved in the churches and oratories as in the spiritual center of a religious community or of a parish, yes, of the universal church and of all humanity, since beneath the appearance of the species, Christ is contained, the invisible Head of the Church, the redeemer of the world, the Centre of all hearts, by whom all things are and by whom we exist. For questions call Ruthann at 756-8551. General Announcements It s all about Heaven! Today is World Marriage Day, and it could easily be called, World Heaven Day. Perhaps you have heard that the mission of marriage is to get your spouse to heaven, but that may sound like too much pressure. St. Therese encourages us with her words, Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love. In marriage, the greatest joys we experience are given to us as a foretaste of the life to come in heaven. The gift of intimacy, both verbal and physical, the gift of children and every simple joy in between flow from heaven through the divine gift of marriage. Consider having a Mass offered for your spouse. You will both benefit from the spiritual graces this simple act affords. NEEDED Men of the Parish. SCHOLARSHIP One prospective student in our parish is eligible for a $1,000 scholarship to Carroll College. Carroll requires that the recipient be a student planning to attend Carroll College for the first time in the fall. Forms are available in the parish office. The deadline is March 1, 2019. Retrouvaille A Lifeline For Married Couples Ursuline Centre-Great Falls, Mt February 22-24, 2019 Not willing to let go of your marriage? Many couples continue to struggle in a marriage, but are not willing to give up on each other. There is hope. Retrouvaille is a program designed to help struggling marriages regain their health. It helps a husband and a wife rediscover or re-awaken the love, trust and commitment that originally brought them together. The program is highly successful in saving hurting marriages, even bringing reconciliation to couples who have already separated or divorced. Retrouvaille is a peer ministry of volunteer couples that can help you learn the tools of healthy communication, build intimacy and heal, just as they have done in their own marriages.
