Of the 1840 families in the parish, 536 families have responded thus far. Parish Goal (Assessment): $188,000.00 Total pledged to Date $139,326.00 Amount needed to reach Goal: $ 48,674.00 We must have everyone s help to meet our parish assessment. FIRST FRIDAY EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT will be on April 7, after the 6:30 a.m. Mass in the Chapel until Vespers and Benediction at 5:00 p.m. All are invited throughout the day for Eucharistic Adoration and quiet prayer. World Youth Day Palm Sunday Celebration Everyone in grades 8-12 is invited to attend the World Youth Day Palm Sunday Celebration on April 9. There will be Confessions, Praise and Worship Music, Holy Mass Celebrated by Bishop Gainer, Food Trucks and Holy Hour with Fr. Anthony Dill. The event is held at Good Shepherd Church and is free. The Good Shepherd Knights of Columbus Council is sponsoring a French Toast and Sausage breakfast on Saturday morning, April 8, from 8:00 until 10:30 a.m., in the Parish Hall. Tickets will cost $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. The adult breakfast will include two slices of French toast, sausage patties, orange juice, & coffee. The child breakfast will include one slice of French toast, sausage patty, orange juice, & milk. Tickets will be sold after the Masses, beginning this weekend. The breakfast is scheduled for the same morning as the parish Easter Egg Hunt. The hunt will begin promptly at 9:30. We are hoping that many of the families who attend the hunt will also join us for breakfast. EASTER BLESSINGS! Harrisburg Diocesan Council of Catholic Women s 92 nd Annual Convention Joined in Christ will be held on Monday, May 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Cardinal Keeler Center, 4800 Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg. The principal Celebrant and Homilist will be Father David Danneker, Diocesan Vicar General. 50 th Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, July 9 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at Good Shepherd Parish, Camp Hill, PA Were you married in 1967? The Diocese is beginning preparations for this year s 50 th Anniversary Mass, which will celebrate the love and commitment of couples who were married in 1967. In addition to the Mass, which will be celebrated by Bishop Ronald W. Gainer, there will be a reception for the couples and their families. Each couple will be sent an invitation to the Mass and reception along with an RSVP card indicating if they will be attending and how many will attend. Directions will also be included. Names & addresses of each couple (First name of both persons) must be submitted to the Parish Office by April 18, 2017. Names submitted will be included as an insert in the Mass program. Each Jubilee Couple will also be presented with a commemorative certificate; those unable to attend the event will receive one in the mail. This annual celebration is co-sponsored by the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, Diocesan Senior Adult Ministry, and the Office of Marriage and Family Ministries. Job Opportunity Director of Life Teen Ministry The pastors of Good Shepherd and Saint Theresa Parishes wish to hire a Director of Life Teen Ministry. The Director of Life Teen Ministry will work to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today, to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person, and to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the faith communities of Good Shepherd Parish and Saint Theresa Parish. The position is Full Time. The Director of Life Teen Ministry must be a faith-filled, practicing Roman Catholic, in good standing with the Church. The Director should have the ability to articulate the faith and relate with teens and their families. Enthusiasm and flexibility are essential. Ability to collaborate with staff, adult and teen volunteers and have community-building skills is essential.
