Goblin Caves (Second Expansion B4) Level 1 Entrances: There are two entrances on the South side of level 1. Which the party picks will determine where they start. Room #1 (80 x40 ) Greasy Claw (Goblin) A well armed room with plenty of places to hold up and attack. This room shares 2 doors (one locked and one secret) with a common area (shared with fighting storm). It also connects (via 2 unlocked doors) to a hall that has a concealed (locked) door to a Zargon room. There is also a set of ladders connecting this level with a lower level (Level 2 #35). This makes this room very strategic, thus it is heavily defended and prized by the other factions on the two levels. Smoothly carved walls that have several (goblin sized) holes in the wall and surprisingly well lit, this room seems to be fortified for defensive purposes. The Greasy Claws are a relatively peaceful tribe (to the PCs at least) who will be willing to help if the PCs are fighting against one of their enemies. They won t leave this room unsecured or venture into an enemy camp without the odds being with them. Encounter 25 Goblins (5@7hp, 5@6hp, 5@5hp, 5@4hp, 5@3hp) AC6 1d6 THAC0:20 (7) XP: 125 Treasure: 160ep Room #2 (60 x60 ) Fighting Storm (Goblin) A defensively fortified room (especially towards the concealed door in the north-west side) that houses a large number of goblins. This is one of their main rooms used to strike at the Last Stand tribe as well as venturing outside for food. The Fighting Storm is initially peaceful towards the PCs but will require them to perform a service for them to gain access into deeper rooms. This could be a supply of food, a bribe (400gp for the party), weapons (a magic dagger or short swords) or a raid on the Last Stand, Greasy Claws or Zargon supporters tribes. If the last option is taken then the PCs will be on the Last Stand s or Greasy Claws enemy list (they are already on Zargon s), but only tolerated by the Fighting Storm unless a decisive victory was accomplished (50+ killed or 2 rooms captured). Room #3 (60 x60 ) Zargon (Goblin / Hobgoblin) One of the outer most rooms of Zargon followers (with 27 being the other). This room is well defended and prepared for fighting (they have had a lot of it recently). The PCs are enemy #1 in Zargon held territory. Any Goblin or Hobgoblin that gets the horn will be given a kingship. If they kill one of the PCs they will become part of the royal bodyguard and for capturing a PC they can get any posting they want and a few hundred gp in reward money. There will usually be a few from the Order of Zargon as ambassadors and to aid the Goblin Zargon followers. Once the party arrives the entire order of Zargon will be on alert, things are going to be easy. If there is combat with the PCs, an alarm will be sounded and reinforcements from room #27 will arrive I next round. There will always be some injured in this room (some will fight if the PCs are hostile, while others cannot). 14 Goblins (7,7,7 6,6,6 5,5,5 4,4,4 3,3) AC6 1d6 THAC0:20 (17) XP:70 10 Wounded Goblins (3,3,3 2,2,2 1,1,1,1) AC6 1d6-1 THAC0:20 (17) XP:50 Treasure: 100ep Room #5 (60 x80 ) Neutral This is a common access room for the upper level tribes to have access to the outside. While not claimed by any one tribe, it is a location of much combat. If any one tribe can capture the room, they can hold the others hostage until their food runs out (except Zargon followers who have food on other levels). The room itself is rough hewn out of grey stone. There was once carvings of Zargon on the walls but those have now been destroyed. The floor and the walls up to 6 feet are covered with many layers of dry blood, and some patches of not so dry blood indicating recent fighting. The concealed door on the North-West side is locked but the other three aren t Room #6 (60 x60 ) Fighting Storm (Goblin) One of the Fighting Storm s most heavily defended rooms. This room contains multiple ladders and a ramp down to the lower level (level #2 off of room #38). The Storm will only freely allow the party access if they have done a major service to the tribe, or if they are not an enemy of one of the fighting storm s enemy. If the party attacks their way through the storm from rooms #23 and #11 (level 1) and #38 (level 2) will come to support their tribe. 40 Goblins (10@7hp, 10@6hp, 10@5hp, 10@4hp) AC6 1d6 THAC0:20 (17) XP:200 Treasure: 320ep

Room #7 (80 x80 ) Fighting Storm (Goblin) A well connected central room of the storm s realm. This room houses most of the storm s off duty troops and the family living area of the tribe. While not fortified against attack additional troops from rooms #2 and #11 will arrive if there is combat. Room #12 (40 x80 ) Last Stand (Goblin) The western attack room. These warriors defend against attacks from room #27 and through the hallway through the concealed door to the east. Room #15 (100 x80 ) Zargon (Goblin / Hobgoblin) A heavily gaurded room that is used as a staging ground for attacks on the last stand to the south and the Greasy Claws to the east. Room #17 (80 x40 ) Uncontrolled A common access room (forgotten by most) that was once used by Zargon followers to store goods and food captures from raids on the city, now an empty room.

Room #18 (60 x40 ) Last Stand (Goblin) A supply storage room used to house warriors for raids on the city and to store goods / food taken during those raids. 20 Goblins (5@7hp, 5@6hp, 5@5hp, 5@4hp) AC6 1d6 THAC0:20 (17) XP: 100 Treasure: 100ep, 10 short swords and a small supply of iron rations. Room #19 (60 x100 ) Uncontrolled A large common room used by tribes on the lower levels to gain access to the lost city. This room contains a large ramp down to the lower level (level 2 room #10) and several makeshift ladders. Room #20 (100 x60 ) Greasy Claw (Goblin) The Greasy Claw s main food and weapon storage room. The room is packed full of goods, enough to last a small tribe a long time or several tribe a few weeks. Room #21 (60 x80 ) Last Stand (Goblin) The Stand s first line of defence from outside attack and a major storage room for goods collected on raids from the outside. 20 Goblins (5@7hp, 5@6hp, 5@5hp, 5@4hp) AC6 1d6 THAC0:20 (17) XP: 100 Treasure: 100ep, 20 short swords, 10 daggers, a large cache of fresh food and a small supply of medical supplies. Room #22 (80 x60 ) Last Stand (Goblin) The stand s food storage and makeshift living quarters. Room #24 (100 x60 ) Greasy Claws (Goblin) The greasy claws secondary access to level 2. The other goblin tribes don t know about this ladder, as it was hidden and forgotten under the Zargon control. The goes to the hallway between rooms 21 & 48 on layer 2. 25 Goblins (5@7hp, 5@6hp, 5@5hp, 5@4hp, 5@3hp) AC6 1d6 THAC0:20 (17) XP:125 Treasure: 300ep Room #25 (60 x60 ) Last Stand (Goblin) A last stand war room used to reinforce rooms 10 & 12. It acts as a barracks and weapon training room. 30 Goblins (5@7hp, 5@6hp, 5@5hp, 5@4hp, 5@3hp, 5@2hp) AC6 1d6 THAC0:20 (17) XP:150 Treasure: 180ep Room #26 (60 x100 ) Zargon (Goblin / Hobgoblin) A top level storage room filled with food, weapons and a handful of guards. Room #27 (60 x40 ) Zargon (Goblin / Hobgoblin) One of the two initial contact points for the Zargon followers on the top level. The guards will reinforce room #3 if they are attacked. This fortified room was designed for goblins to counter attack from. Room #29 (40 x60 ) Zargon (Goblin / Hobgoblin) The Zargon access to the lower levels. This room will be defended by all the other Zargon followers on this level. Notes: If any room that was previously occupied becomes available, at least one of the tribes on this level will try to claim it if they have access to it. If the party leaves the Zargon controlled rooms after taking a room, that room will be reclaimed by Zargon followers from a lower level. However if the PCs go down to level 2, the Greasy Claws, Fighting Storm or Last Stand will take control. Most of the tribes use money to buy food and supplies from non-hostile tribes. If the PCs can arrange food, they will be rewarded (except by the Zargons) in either coin or safe passage through their territory.
