Shaping Our World Let s unite in prayer for our leaders at this crucial time in Canada: 1 Tim 2:1-4 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our savior, who wants all people to be save and to come to a knowledge of the truth. Let s pray for the truth to prevail and for God to use this vulnerable time of shaking to touch the hearts and lives of our leaders and for people to turn to God. Psalm 2:10-11 Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Service Opportunities TEACHING/LEADING OPPORTUNITIES: There are opportunities to serve in the Sunday School ministry and in the Kids Club ministry. If you are able to help, please contact Pastor Kathy. FABRIC NEEDED: If you have any leftover fabric (suitable for clothing), please drop it off in the labelled box by the library. Flat sheets are an excellent option. The material will be made to make dresses for girls in Africa. USHERS/LEAD USHER WANTED: There are opportunities to join the team of Church Ushers. In this role, you would ensure that people receive a bulletin and find a place to sit, you would receive the offering, record the number of persons in attendance, & monitor the halls during the Sunday morning service. If you can see yourself in this role, or have questions about it, please contact Pastor Kathy. LIVING NATIVITY: We are in need of some Key Leaders for the Living Nativity including overall leadership. This outreach ministry is one that brings the Word of God to life for many who have never heard about the birth of Christ! The last production presented the wonderful message of Christmas to about 4,000 people. This ministry started in the mid 1970 s & takes dedicated people who are willing to pour themselves into the experience every other year. Current leaders are willing to walk alongside & train up the next generation. Please let the Church Office and/or Brian Evans know if you are interested in helping with the many areas of responsibility (some are listed below); Committee Leadership & Town Liaison Lighting and/or Sound Set Build & Storage Costumes, Props & Costume Prep Advertising & Public Relations or Direction & Production Animals & Horses Behind the Scenes Crew (each night), or Crowd Control & Traffic The effort for this year s production will begin in the Spring as we start planning in each required area. We would love to have these people in place. There are many volunteers that help year over year with the many responsibilities. We need to have others who will work alongside in each area to provide for continuity in the years ahead. May God bless you as you consider what your role will be.

Prayer & Scripture Corner You are invited to the Monday Night Prayer Meeting. Come and Add Your Voice to the Prayers of our Church and our Community. All are welcome. The meetings are held weekly at 7pm in the Overflow room (at the top of the stairs from the main parking lot doors). PRAYER FOR STRENGTH, HEALING AND COMFORT Lord, you are our healer, our Great Physician, you know our needs and the needs of those in our congregation and our community. We pray for those who need your healing touch, we pray for those who need your restoration of body, of mind, of soul. We pray for those who are shut-in, grieving, or lonely. Lord, we ask that you would strengthen and guide with your compassion and grace. In Your Son s Holy name, we pray. Amen. TODAY S SCRIPTURE & BIBLE MEMORY PASSAGE (1 Tim 4:12)
