Preface Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah (S.W.T.) and do not follow up their spending by stressing their benevolence and causing hurt, will find their reward secure with their Lord. They have no cause for fear and grief. Farooq-e-Azam Welfare Society is a non-profit, non-political organization whose fundamental aim is to safeguard the moral, social and economic welfare of youth, women and children in Pakistan. The society was established in September 11, 1993 with aim at gaining the pleasure of Almighty Allah (S.W.T.), since society is involve helping poor and deprived people of society in improving their life style by providing them education, moral, social and financial support. Its efforts are concentrated on women's development in health, education, vocational training and income generating schemes. Its mission is to provide cost effective and quality microfinance services to poor women, by adding value to women's existing economic opportunities in order to enhance their role in economic and social decision-making. Major projects undertaken with regard to women include Social Awareness for Women; conduct Marriages, Education project, Skill Training, Distress and Rehabilitation, primary and secondary health care. All these projects were carried out in Rawalpindi region. Furthermore we are planning to strengthen its operations across Pakistan. Mission To educate, motivate and empower the communities to eradicate poverty and sufferings with special focus on development of vulnerable communities through capacity building, policy research, sensitizing policy makers and providing access to basic services with holistic, participatory and gender balanced approach. Vision FWS envisions 'sustainable communities achieving equitable economic, social and cultural development through grass roots development institutions Introduction Today the youth is faced with the important task of economical, discontentment, greed, starvation and social problems which are the main cause of destabilization of country even educated people (youth age) are going to become the most vulnerable entity due to lack of jobs and unemployment due to which peace and prosperity among societies is completely annoyed. But this is fact that if there is a will there is a way. The Young Welfare Society which was established in September 11, 1993, with motto of "To Obtain Pleasure of Allah Through Welfare of Humanity. This initiative was taken with a great passion and courage. Credit goes to the founder of Society Dr. Abdual Hafeez who take this initiative and achieved this milestone with mutual understandings and cooperation of all his intellectual companions Chaudhry Ghulam Ahmed, Sufi Nisar Ahmed (Late), Sheikh Muhammad Suleman (Late), Mr. Muhammad Ikhlaq, Mr. Muhammad Sarwar and Mr. Ghulam Abbas Jafari just for sake of Allah Almighty and his prophet (PBUH). Farooq-a-Azam Welfare Society firmly not associated with any political party. Working as a welfare organization any political activities are strictly prohibited within the Society premises, however outside the Society's premises individuals has reserved rights to be a political supporter or member etc. Objectives The principle objectives of Farooq-a-Azam Welfare Society are mentioned below: Work for the welfare of humanity Promotion of education, moral, social and ethical values in youth Provision of free of cost books and scholarships to all deserving students Establishment of welfare dispensary and vocational centers Establishment of a library Recreational activities, like football, volleyball, swimming and other healthy activities, exercises and arrangement of different tournaments Society will also be able to resolve real time issues related to the areas through area representatives.

Projects / Activities is running the following major projects / activities with the support of well-wishers and benefactors: Farooq-e-Azam Welfare Dispensary Farooq-e-Azam Vocational Training Centre Farooq-e-Azam Dastarkhawan (Free Meal) Social / Financial Support to Deserving People and also Deserving Students Farooq-e-Azam Welfare Dispensary The Society established Farooq-e-Azam Welfare Dispensary on July, 2009 to provide free medical facilities to the community. This welfare dispensary provides free medical checkup/medical advice and free medicines (General medicines) to the community. For medical advice and check up a lady doctor (MBBS) has been appointed for the examination of male/female patient's. This dispensary also has facility of Blood Sugar Random Test, Ultrasound and also about medical check-up. These facilities were provided on adhoc basis initially. Farooq-e-Azam Vocational Training Centre The Society established a Vocational Training Centre on April, 2010 where the women of the area are trained in different fields (e.g. Patterning, Cutting, Sewing, Embroidery, and Preparation of decoration items, cooking and baking, beautician). After the completion of their training they can help their families and to improve their financial condition by getting good remuneration against their handy skills. The Society is providing free training for the needy and poor women. The Society provides sewing machine to the needy women so that they can enhance their financial position and in future they can play their part in the improvement of the Society. Farooq-e-Azam Dastarkhawan The Society has started this programme in April, 2011. The main objective of this programme is to help the community and try to eliminate poverty from the society. Recognising its moral & social responsibility towards the society, to help the community and play its role as a welfare body. Since April, 2011 "Farooq-e-Azam Dastarkhawan" has provided free meal to the people in different localities, a large number of people enjoyed free meals in an organised manner. Financial and Social Help The main objective of the Society is to work for the welfare of the poor and deprived people of the area. The Society collects funds from donors and distribute/spend for the help of the poor, widow and orphans as per decision of Society Administration. The Society is also donating funds for the medical treatment of the needy people. The Society spends a specific amount on Eid Package during every Ramadan for the needy. The Society distributes books, stationery, uniforms free of cost to the poor and needy students. Keeping in view the fact that major population of the area is not going to school due to their worse financial position. The Society has arranged funds to pay fee so that educational facilities can be provided to the needy and poor children. The Society provides financial support to needy and deserving persons, especially, females for marriage. We believe that marriage is an important occasion for everyone, therefore, this ceremony must be held in a decent way so disadvantageous families should not feel deprived.
