Unfortunately both lost in the first round. The KSS football program would like to thank everyone for their support! Be TOUGH! The Sr Girls and Sr Boys Volleyball teams are off to Provincials this weekend. We wish them the best of luck! The Foundry Kelowna is a new integrated health and social services centre for young people ages 12 to 24. It provides an one-stop-shop for youth to access mental health care, substance use services, primary health care, social services and youth and family peer supports. On December 13th from 6:30-8:00 pm, the Foundry is hosting an open house family holiday social where parents or caregivers who are curious about the Foundry & the Parent in Residence services can come see for themselves in a relaxed environment and can connect with others as a community. Parent in Residence, Lori Raible, will be there to offer peer support, resources and navigation to parents and caregivers. All are welcome! Grad News Grad Photos Grad photos are coming up from January 8-19, 2018. All grads are encouraged to book a sitting as there is no sitting fee, and their grad photos will go in the yearbook and the KSS 2018 grad composite. Grads will also receive a photo when they cross the stage in June. There are just enough spaces for our entire grad class, so please book in advance and DO NOT miss appointments. Sittings are 12 minutes long. The first half is formal in the cap and gowns, and the second half is fun. Grads can bring props, family members, pets and friends. Kelowna Secondary School Grad Online Appointment Info Grad individual portrait photos January 8 to January 19, 2018 Go to www.mountainwest.ca Top of page, click where it says Book a Grad Session. A new page will open with a drop down menu. Maximize this page to see all info important! Select your school and then select session Grad Portrait. Calendar will open with available dates to choose from. Choose your date and available appointment times will be shown. Please note additional later appointment times for same day may be found by clicking Next at the bottom of page. Choose your time and click Book it. Book one appointment spot ONLY. A new page will appear fill in all required info to create your User ID, etc. Disregard info requested for payment sitting fee is to be collected when you come to the camera for your appointment please bring $25 then. Finalize your appointment. The system will send you a confirmation email. Ensure that you receive this email. You will also receive a reminder email 24 hours prior to your appointment time. If you need to cancel or change your appointment time (up to 24 hours prior to) you will need to log back in as a returning user to do this. Remember your user ID and password!

Admission by dona on Night Owl Theatre KSS Night Owl Theatre presents the hilarious one act comedy: "All I Really Need to Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play". Featuring caffeine addicted directors and stolen donut holes, this is a great way to get into the holiday spirit! The show runs from December 6 to December 9 at the KSS Studio Theatre. All performances start at 7:00 pm. Tickets are on sale every lunch at the Studio Theatre ticket booth, or at the door; $6.00 for students, $10.00 for adults. KSS Dry Grad 2018 Mark your calendars for the Dry Grad celebration that will be taking place on June 16, 2018 at KSS. It will be full of entertainment, games, food, prizes, and fun and it will run from 9:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. the following morning. Early bird tickets will be on sale Dec. 12, 13, 14, 18, and 19, during the lunch hour in the MPR. Students need to complete the Dry Grad consent form, which includes your signature, and submit it with their payment of $40 cash or cheque. Dry Grad consent forms will be available in the MPR during the lunch hour on Dec. 4 7 OR print off the form in this Newsletter. There will be draw for a gift basket on Dec. 20 for those who have purchased early bird tickets. Listen to the announcements to hear the winner's name. This event is organized and run by parent volunteers. This means funding, food, and prizes are needed. We are looking for all parents, employees, and business owners to please step forward, as soon as you are able, and contact one of the volunteers below to discuss the best ways to contribute!
