Offertory God is My Strong Salvation God is my strong Salvation; What foe have I to fear? In darkness and temptation, my Light, my Help is near. Though hosts encamp around me, firm in the fight I stand. What terror can confound me, with God at my right hand? Place on the Lord reliance; my soul, with courage, wait. His truth will be your affiance me, when faint and desolate. His might my heart shall strengthen, His love your joy increase. Mercy your days shall lengthen; the Lord will give me peace. Song of Response I Will Praise Him Still When the morning falls on the farthest hill I will sing His name, I will praise Him still. When dark trials come and my heart it filled With the weight of doubt, I will praise Him still. For the Lord our God, He is strong to save From the arms of death, from the deepest grave. And He gave us life in His perfect will And by His good grace, I will praise Him still. Fernando Ortega 1997 Dayspring Music, Inc. CCLI no.56194 10
Hymn of Praise Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee Joyful joyful we adore Thee, God of glory Lord of love; Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, Opening to the sun above. Melt the clouds of sin and sadness, Drive the dark of doubt away; Giver of immortal gladness, Fill us with the light of day. All Thy works with joy surround Thee, Earth and heaven reflect Thy rays, Stars and angels sing around Thee, Center of unbroken praise. Field and forest vale and mountain, Flowery meadow flashing sea; Chanting bird and flowing fountain, Call us to rejoice in Thee. Thou art giving and forgiving, Ever blessing ever blest, Wellspring of the joy of living, Ocean depth of happy rest! Thou our Father Christ our Brother, All who live in love are Thine; Teach us how to love each other, Lift us to the joy divine. Mortals join the happy chorus Which the morning stars began; Father love is reigning o er us, Brother love binds man to man. Ever singing march we onward, Victors in the midst of strife, Joyful music lifts us sunward In the triumph song of life. Text by Henry van Dyke, Music by Ludwig van Beethoven Public Domain 11

I walk around confused. Chorus Send out your light and your truth Let them lead me Bring me to your holy hill To your dwelling Then I will go to the altar of God To God, my exceeding joy Then I will praise him with my guitar (with all my heart) Oh my Joy, my Joy Why are you cast down low, o my soul? Why are you cast down low, and in turmoil? Hope in God, for I shall again praise him Hope in God, for he is my salvation. (Chorus) Sandra McCracken CCLI no. 56194 12
Joining Us Today Church Membership God s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth (1 Timothy 3:15) Jesus Christ founded his church to preserve, proclaim and teach the gospel from generation to generation until Christ s return. Christians should identify with a responsible branch of Christ s church as part of their witness and service to him, and also to experience the fellowship that turns individual believers into a spiritual family and kingdom in this world. Membership involves: Confessing personal faith in Christ privately with the church s Elders, and publicly with the church at large. Baptism (if a person has not already been baptized). Commitment to the spiritual authority of church government. What about children? Dependent children of adult members are considered non-communing members, recognizing their discipleship and right to baptism, but withholding participation in the Lord s Supper until they confess their own personal faith. 9:30 Service: Jackie Burgess 11:00 Service: Justin & Mary Pavlischek D Lord Bless Numbers 6.24-26 a blessing on those entering our covenant community A/C# Bmin LORD bless andkeep you, His face shine up- on you, May God set his grace up-on you; G Brian LoPiccolo 5 9 G And lift his coun - te - nance, his ho - ly coun - te - nance on G peace, Bmin A Asus And give you peace, Bmin A G Peace. Reflection & Preparation Reflection: Habakkuk 3:1-19 Quote - Praying without doubting God s sovereignty can be tough. Yet those who pray in Jesus name yield their concerns to his design because they have proof of his care. He is the Good Shepherd who gave his life for his sheep. Now that we know his character, we can trust him with our circumstances. (Bryan Chapell, Praying Backwards, pg. 65) This Week: Psalm 13:1-6 Luke 13:1-9 Psalm 44:1-26 Romans 8:26-39 How long, O Lord? A call to repent Rise up, be our help But in all these things Prayer: Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things both in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear the supplications of your people, and in our time grant us your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
