The MoUs were signed during the visit of South Korean first Lady Kim Jung-sook s visit to India to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Besides, the South Korean first lady on November 6, 2018 attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Queen Huh Memorial Park in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The two MoUs dovetail with Prime Minister Narendra Modi s efforts under the Act East policy and President Moon Jae-in s moves to boost bilateral relations under the New Southern Policy. Researchers at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) have designed and booted up India's first microprocessor, Shakti. According to IIT-M, the Shakti microprocessor can be used in lowpower wireless systems and networking systems. It will also reduce reliance on imported microprocessors in communication and defence sectors. The Shakti family of processors was fabricated at Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), Indian Space Research Organizations (ISRO) in Chandigarh. It is the first 'RISC V Microprocessor' to be completely designed and made in India. Earlier, in July 2018, an initial batch of 300 chips, named RISECREEK was produced under Project Shakti, that were fabricated at the Multinational Chip Manufacturer Intel's facility at Oregon, USA.
