Introduction Spectrum, the inter-pool films and media championship, was held from 8 th October to 11 th October 2015. The Pool structure was decided as follows: Rajputs : Hall 2 and Hall 8(except I-block) Mauryans : Hall 3 and Hall 7 Mughals : Hall 5 and Hall 4 : Hall 10 and Hall 11 Veeras : Hall 6, Hall8 (I-block) and GH1 Furthermore, UG Y12 and earlier students in any hall/pool cold participate from any pool. Note: During an event/competition, the members of parent pool were not allowed change their pool and will be participating from the same pool through-out. Organizing Team The organizing team consisted of: 1. Prateek Mishra (General Secretary, Films and Media Council) 2. Nandha Kumar (Head, Films and Media Council) 3. Gaurav Sethiya (Overall Coordinator) 4. Aditya Shankar (Overall Coordinator) Point structure All the competition held in Spectrum had got maximum points, and the points were awarded as follows: If all 5 pools participated in any event- 1 st Place: 100% of the maximum points 2 nd Place: 50% of the maximum points 3 rd Place: 30% of the maximum points 4 th Place: 15% of the maximum points 5 th Place: 5% of the maximum points If all 4 pools participated in any event- 1st Place: 100% of the maximum points 2nd Place: 50% of the maximum points 3rd Place: 30% of the maximum points 4th Place: 15% of the maximum points Individual Trophy Winners: Trophy Animation Film Photography SFS Winner Mughals Mughals Mauryans

So the total points were 565 instead of 590. *Pool Veeras participated in 445 out of 565 points. Their score was extrapolated to find out the final result. Grievance Redressal Under the stipulated time after the result declaration, No GRC was filed by any pools against any of the results that were announced. Recommendations The competition details/problem statement should be released at least 10 days before the actual commencement of the championship The quality of participation in Spectrum'15 was not up to the mark and should be given special focus. The number of events can be reduced if required for the same The competitions should focus more on the practical aspects of the field rather than just assigning the laborious work to the participants More competitions based on mass participation should be introduced so as to increase the overall feel of the participants towards the championship Pool Rajputs didn t participate even in 10% of the total number of events in Spectrum 15 sighting the reason that They cannot win the General Championship anyhow. Such Reasons violate the spirit of General championship hence care should be taken in future years to avoid such situations
