This is also true for the work of the academic nurse. In order to enable nurses to carry out independent research, or to work as part of a multiprofessional team, they must be familiar with and understand the statistical procedures available to them. Goals of the course: At the end of the course the student will: 1. Be familiar with common statistical tests; 2. Understand their rationale and will know under what conditions these can and should be used; 3. Understand the meaning of the outcomes of these tests. Teaching methods: Frontal lessons and exercises.
