No. 291 July/September 2018 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:). Acts ch.10 v.36
by the late Pastor Karl Schott taken from The Pathfinder 1997, vol. 97, issue 5 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. Deuteronomy ch.7 vv.12-15 What a wonderful and blessed promise that the Lord God Almighty gave to the House of Israel, the ancestors of the peoples of Anglo-Saxondom. These blessings would be theirs if they would simply be an obedient people who honored His righteous judgments and commandments. I recall some 20-25 years ago when the Medical profession announced that, with the great strides that had been made in medical research, it looked very promising that soon nearly every major disease that was plaguing our people would be conquered. Well, some of you may recall that it was but a very few years after this announcement was made that new and seemingly drug-resistant diseases developed. At the same time these new illnesses and diseases were increasing, there was a very evident falling away from Biblical truths and principles taking place amongst the Israel nations. In the above Scriptures, we read of the Lord God of Israel promising His people that He would take away all their sicknesses and diseases, if they would honour and obey Him. The amazing thing about this wonderful medical plan which the Lord has made available to us, is that, for the most part, it has remained a secret and our people do not even know that it exists. - 32 -
Interestingly, the Lord put this medical plan into operation many years ago, when the children of Israel (approximately 3 million of them) were released from their bondage in Egypt, and the Scriptures inform us He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes (see Psalm 105 v.37). There is another scriptural incident which demonstrates how the Lord God kept His watchful eye over His people as they moved out of the land of Egypt at the insistence of the Egyptians who had witnessed God s mighty works. But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue [bark], against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel. Exodus ch.11 v.7 That was quite a miracle, though it may seem to be a rather strange one, for the Lord to stop every dog s tongue from barking when millions of people were coming out of Egypt, not to mention all of the animals with them. Perhaps there were millions of animals, such as cattle, sheep, oxen, and even camels with them. For a dog to remain silent during all of this commotion would be remarkable, to say the least. But we serve a great God who delights to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are turned toward Him. Praise His Holy name! As we consider this wonderful blessing (medical plan), we see that there were no premiums to pay. Evidently there were no hospitals, nor the need for any, and perhaps the same is true of doctors. Besides, this medical plan had no age limit. But, if Israel is to enjoy this tremendous medical plan today, there is definitely a price that must be paid. We will need to honour and obey the judgments of God Almighty, as found in the Scriptures, not only as they relate to murder and rape, but also in our daily walk as born again believers, being led by the Holy Spirit, and living as the Apostle Paul exhorts us in his Epistle to the Ephesians. Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient; but, rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.... And grieve - 33 -
not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ s sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians ch.5 vv 1-5 & 4 vv 30-32 This wonderful programme could then become a reality, if we, who are true Israel, would walk righteously before the Lord. But, today, millions of people are suffering from one illness after another, in spite of the wonderful medical improvements that have come about in recent years. Is it because, as the Scripture says,... your sins have withholden good things from you? (See Jeremiah ch.5 v.2). Credit must be given where it is due, and so we acknowledge the fine doctors who are involved in the medical profession today. Since my profession takes me into hospitals quite often, I am privileged to see the wonderful care that is given by the many medical professionals, but we must ask the question, Why is it that illness continues to increase in spite of all that medical science has accomplished? The good news is that the day is coming when there will be no more pain nor even death. As said in John the Divine s vision. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth;... And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,... And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle [abode, dwelling place] of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people,... And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. Revelation ch.21 vv 1-5 Psalm 105 describes how the Lord brought forth the Twelve Tribes of Israel from Egypt after 400 years. The amazing thing was that there was not one feeble person among their tribes. What a wonderful display of God s sovereignty and power was shown at that time, some 3400 years ago, on behalf of our forefathers! We also notice that the Lord brought them forth with silver and gold which was given them by their Egyptian captors. The Lord moved the Egyptians to freely give them these treasures. - 34 -
Friends, we serve a great God who is very aware of the circumstances that His servant people, Israel (the peoples of Anglo- Saxondom) are now experiencing. Let us hold fast to the wonderful promise, as found in the Scriptures, that in the coming kingdom, there will be no more pain or sickness. ******* Summary of BIBTF Trustees Report of Activities during 2017 The Fellowship s Objective is the advancement of Christian Religion by teaching the Counsel of God as revealed in the Bible. In particular this is by demonstrating that the British people (i.e. the Anglo-Saxon-Celts etc.) are descended from the biblical House of Israel and part of the House of Judah. The following items give an indication of how this objective has been met in the last year. Outreach - Publishing, Supporters & Readership In spite of increased interest from overseas the downward trend of UK supporters has continued but offsetting this has been a greater sale and distribution of our booklets and recordings. The Website has continued to be an important part of our outreach with increases both in numbers of people viewing it and numbers of countries they live in. Public Meetings Two, day long conferences took place at our usual London venue, Orange St Congregational Church, both chaired by the Secretary, Paul Boyd-Lee. For years we have been blessed with using this place at a low cost for which we are indebted to the trustees and to Our Lord God for its provision. The 13th May saw the AGM chaired by Vice-President Derek Gash during which the President Dr M. Bennett OBE testified to God s great healing following his stroke several months earlier. In the afternoon Martin Lightfoot spoke with a visual presentation on Jerusalem 1917-2017. Then Nelson McCausland tackled the subject of A Biblical Perspective on Government in 2017. In the Autumn on 30 September Colin Farquhar led more than an hour s prayerful intercession for the nation and its place in the world, particularly considering current negotiations for Britain to leave the European Union. The afternoon included two important topics before the nation, Mr Chris Richards talked about Today s relevance of Luther s Church Reformation with Pastor Robert Phillips covering Britain s Role in the Countdown to the Coming of Jesus Christ. Provincial meetings continued to be held at last year s venues. In the year s second half it was clear that the Newbury assembly was struggling to secure reasonable numbers of people and regrettably was suspended at least - 35 -
