J U N E 2 0 1 5 Embracing our Faith And much more!!! In life there are mistakes we will make, but we must learn from our wrongs and grow from them. In life there are regrets we will have to live with, but we must learn to leave the past behind and realize it is something we can't change. In life there are people we will loose forever and can't have back, but we must learn to let go and move on. In life there are going to be obstacles that will cause interference, but we must learn to overcome these challenges and grow stronger. In life there are fears that will hold us back from what we want, but we must learn to fight them with the courage from within. God holds our lives in his hands. He holds the key to our future. Only He knows our fate. He sees everything and knows everything. Everything in life really does happen for a reason: "God's Reason". -By Angie Flores I N S I D E T H I S I S S U E : Faith 1 Armor of God 2 Pastor s Info 2 Accomplishments 4 Birthdays 5 Announcements 7 Contact Us 7

P A G E 3 A Letter from the Pastor Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. I wish each of you a very blessed and fun summer. I want to take the opportunity to reach as many members as possible with some information on the direction the Lord is leading me as I lead his church and people. I m excited about what the Lord has poured into my spirit for the church. Moving forward into my eight years as Pastor of the MSBC, I m very thankful for the privilege to serve God s people and for the opportunity to march into the blessings God has set aside for us. I want to share with you some of the changes and events that we will be doing this year to move forward in our service to God and the growth of the church. This year we will: a. Install two new Deaconesses to the ministry b. Install two new Stewards to the ministry c. Purchase transportation and video/sound equipment d. Hire a director for the Mass Choir e. Open a new savings account for pledges and donations for future projects The ministers will have new responsibilities: Rev. Townes as Minister of Training and Development, Min. Glenn as Youth Pastor, Min. T. Foster as Minister of Worship and Rev. B. Clarke as Minister of Congregational Care. Some events scheduled for this year include: Community Outreach called Fantastic Friday during the summer, Community Thanksgiving Dinner, working with Feed More to pack brown bags for the needy and more. MSBC this is our time to move with God and reach for the blessing He has promised us through our service and commitment to him and his people. This forward march will require everyone to work and walk by faith and not by sight and to be obedient with your tithes and your offerings. Our community is growing. If we are to be a part of the growth, we must embrace this moment so that the church is relevant in the future. Bless you all, Pastor Moody

P A G E 6 Man: God, can I ask You a question? God: Sure Man: Promise You won t get mad God: I promise Man Has a Conversation with God Man: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today? God: What do u mean? Man: Well, I woke up late God: Yes Man: My car took forever to start God: Okay Man: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong and I had to wait God: Hummm Man: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked a call God: All right up Man: And on top of it all, when I got home I just wanted to soak my feet in my new foot massage and relax. BUT it wouldn t work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that? God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning and I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that Man (humbled): OH GOD: I didn t let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road. Man: (ashamed) God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick and I didn t want you to catch what they have. I knew you couldn t afford to miss work. Man (embarrassed): Okay God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call. I didn t even let you talk to them so you would be covered. Man (softly): I see God God: Oh and that foot massage, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn t think you wanted to be in the dark. Man: I m Sorry God God: Don t be sorry, just learn to Trust Me. in All things, the Good & the bad. Man: I will trust You. God: And don t doubt that My plan for your day is always better than your plan. Man: I won t God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for everything today. God: You re welcome child. It was just another day being your God and looking after My Children I'm sorry to disturb you! My name is God. You hardly have time for me. I love you and always bless you. I am always with you. I need you to spend 30 minutes of your time with Me today. Don't pray. Just praise. -Submitted By Deacon Greta Trent
