PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH - We are having a gift card, gift certificate, or gift of money shower for our pastoral staff during the month of October. Let's show our appreciation and love to our pastoral staff for all they do to serve the Lord and to serve us. Dwell -- -- Darin and Kim Ringger will be offering a time of worship and prayer on Wednesday nights beginning this week in room 15. Focus will be on quieting our hearts before the Lord, dwelling in His presence, and praying for His strength to be evident in our daily lives instead of our own Food Drive for the Lima Rescue Mission - The Lima Rescue Mission was founded as the Lima Rescue Home on November 1, 1906, by Rev. Adam Welty. The Mission is a faith-based organization. ALL funding comes directly from individuals, businesses, churches and other organizations who want to be involved in helping people in need in our community. A table will be set up in the patio to receive your donations for the Lima Rescue Mission during Mission Festival. Most needed items are: No. 10 (BIG) cans of vegetables, fruit, sauerkraut, pork & beans, etc..; also instant coffee and cereal. Reminder to parents: Children s church for grades 1-4 is meeting every Sunday during the fall quarter. 5 th graders - It s 5 th Sunday with Darren time again on Oct. 31 in the youth room during the children s church time. PERSPECTIVES ON THE WORLD CHRISTIAN MOVEMENT. We live in a unique time in history. God has given us a call with both global and local dimensions. This 16-week class will help you understand that call and your specific place within it. Hear from a different professor/teacher each week. Discover for yourself how to find your particular assignment within God's ageless plan! Classes begin January 9th. Contact Luke Johnson at 849-2932 or Darin Ringger 565-3675 for more info. -- perspectives.org The prayers and best wishes of the congregation are extended to

Doug Bauman and Candace Borne, who were married yesterday, October 23. Congratulations and best wishes of the congregation are extended to Lloyd & Carol Neuenschwander, who will celebrate their 57 th wedding anniversary on October 25. Youth Upcoming Events Sunday, October 31: Fall Harvest Party at Darren s house from 5-9. Outside activities, weather permitting. Bring a favorite dish to share!
